Analysis of the Ms Marvel trailer and everything you need to know about this upcoming Marvel series for Disney+.
Hello movie and TV loving community, I hope you are having a great time, Welcome to my post. Today I want to talk about Ms Marvel, a little known character from Marvel comics that is going to be included in the UCM through her own series that will hit the Disney+ screen next June 8. with a season of 10 episodes. Without further introduction, I get to the point:
Right off the bat, I must say that the trailer is great, a marvel and I'm in, although I do not belong to the targert that this series is aimed at, I watched the trailer with my daughter and she was delighted, as I'm sure many girls around the world are going to be. Marvel continues to play on reaching more and more audiences, recently betting on the more mature audience with "Eternals", which resulted in very divided opinions, took it out of the stadium with the success of "No Way Home" and promises to do the same with "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" and now continues in that adult line with the soon to be released "Moon Knight".
Hola comunidad amante del cine y la televisión, Espero que estén muy bien, Bienvenidos a mi post. Hoy voy a postear mi primer análisis de tráiler, les quiero hablar sobre Ms Marvel, personaje poco conocido de los comics de Marvel que va a ser incluido en el UCM a través de su propia serie que llegará a la pantalla de Disney + el próximo 8 de junio. Sin más introducción, voy al grano:
De entrada, debo decir que el tráiler es genial, una maravilla y estoy dentro, aunque no pertenezco al targert que va dirigida esta serie, vi el tráiler con mi hija y ella quedó encantada, como estoy seguro lo van a estar muchas niñas en todo el mundo. Marvel se la sigue jugando en ir abarcando cada vez más público, recientemente apostó al público más maduro con “Eternals”, que resultó con opiniones muy divididas, la sacó del estadio con el éxito de “No Way Home” y promete hacer lo mismo con “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” ahora mismo sigue en esa línea adulta con el pronto estreno de “Moon Knight”.
Getting to know Kamala a little bit from the comics:
Although in statements Kevin Fagie already assured that Ms Marvel's origin and powers in the UCM would be different from her comic book version, it doesn't hurt to have a basic knowledge of the character, since in the trailer we can see similarities in her powers and the essence of the character. In the comics Kamala Khan is a 16 year old teenager of Muslim descent living in New Jersey, daughter of Pakistani immigrants raised under their culture, she is a gamer girl, a comic book lover and a great admirer of her role model Captain Marvel, who spends her days with the problems of being a Muslim nerd in the US. Ms Marvel of Kamala, acquires her powers thanks to the fact that her DNA has Inhuman descendants, these are activated after the events of Infinity War, when Black Bolt, King of the Inhumans detonated an Earth Bomb on Earth, which expelled a fog that when making contact with people who possessed the genes of the Inhuman race, they would develop their powers. Mis Marvel possesses the ability to change shape, taking the appearance of other people or inanimate objects or also modifying his body to enlarge his fists and hit his opponents, he can even become bigger or smaller and also possesses great physical strength. In the comics Kamala shared fights with Captain Marvel, was part of the group of The Champions and is very good friends with Miles Morales' Spideman. Ms Marvel's character also appears in several Marvel video games, such as Lego Marvel's Avengers, Marvel Avengers Academy and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, among others.
Conociendo un poco a Kamala de los Comics:
Aunque en declaraciones Kevin Fagie ya aseguró que el origen y poderes de Ms Marvel en el UCM sería diferente a su versión de los comics, no está de más tener un conocimiento básico del personaje, ya que en el tráiler se pueden ver similitudes en sus poderes y la esencia del personaje. En los comics Kamala Khan es una adolecente de 16 años de descendencia musulmana que vive en New Jersey, hija de inmigrantes pakistaníes criada bajo su cultura, es una chica gamer, amantes de los comics y gran admiradora de su ejemplo a seguir La Capitana Marvel, que pasa sus días con los problemas derivados de ser una nerd musulmana en EEUU. Ms Marvel de Kamala, adquiere sus poderes gracias a que su ADN posee descendencia Inhumana, estos se activan después de los eventos de Infinity War, cuando Black Bolt, Rey de los Inhumanos detonará una Bomba terrígena en La Tierra, la cual expulsó una niebla que al hacer contacto con las personas que poseían los genes de la raza inhumana, estos desarrollarían sus poderes. Mis Marvel posee la capacidad de cambiar de forma, tomando la apariencia de otras personas u objetos inanimados o también modificando su cuerpo para agrandar sus puños y golpear a sus oponentes, hasta puede hacerse más grande o más pequeña y también posee una gran fuerza física. En los comics Kamala compartió luchas con Capitana Marvel, formó parte del grupo de The Champions y es muy buena amiga del Spideman de Miles Morales. El personaje de Ms Marvel también aparece en varios videojuegos de Marvel, como Lego Marvel's Avengers, Marvel Avengers Academy y Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, entre otros.
What is known about the series and Kamala in the UCM:
Kamala Khan will be played by Iman Vellani, a young woman who will make her acting debut in this series. The series is written by Bisha K. Ali, who comes from working on the series Loky and Sex Education. It will have 4 directors: Meera Menon (3 episodes), Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (3 episodes), Adil El Arbi (2 episodes) and Bilall Fallah (2 episodes).
In May 2018, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said that there were plans to introduce Kamala Khan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the 2019 film Captain Marvel. In addition, Brie Larson had expressed interest in featuring Khan in a possible sequel to Captain Marvel. On November 10, 2019, Feige confirmed that Khan will appear in future MCU films following her appearance in the Ms. Marvel series. Vellani will reprise her role as Kamala Khan in The Marvels (2022).

Ms Marvel promete ser el producto más Disney Channel del UCM y eso está genial, ya era hora de que las niñas y adolescentes tengan su super heroína. Bien, ahora veamos el tráiler:
The first thing the trailer shows us is Kamala's passion for drawing comics, with one where Ant-Man appears fighting against Man-Ant. Then it starts quickly establishing that Disney Channel tone that the series is going to have, with a sequence of very attractive images enlivened with a great music that immediately catches the attention of the target audience. We are introduced to Kamala showing us those two worlds that she must share in her life, on one side is her family and the Muslim culture with which she is raised and on the other side are her friends and everything that surrounds a teenager in New Jersey. This point will be a fundamental pillar for the development of the character.
Lo primero que nos muestra pasión de Kamala por dibujar comics, con uno donde aparece Ant-Man peleando contra Man-Ant. Entonces arranca un inicio que rápidamente establece ese tono Disney Channel que va a tener la serie, con una secuencia de imágenes muy atractiva amenizadas con una estupenda música que atrapan de inmediato la atención del público al que está dirigido. Nos va presentando a Kamala mostrándonos esos dos mundos que debe compartir en su vida, por un lado está su familia y la cultura musulmana con la que es criada y por el otro lado están sus amigos y todo lo que rodea a una adolecente en New Jersey. Punto que será pilar fundamental para el desarrollo del personaje.
The first big difference to the comics: romantic interest, including a crush, which was expected to do that looking to empathize with young contemporary girls with Kamala. The character is named Kamran and is played by Rish Shah.
La primera gran diferencia a los comics: interés romántico, incluyéndole un crush, lo cual era de esperar hicieran eso buscando empatizar con las jóvenes contemporáneas con Kamala. El personaje se llama Kamran y es interpretado por Rish Shah.
The trailer makes very clear Kamala's fanaticism for Captain Marvel, she is even seen cosplaying her. We also see her wearing a shirt with Valkyrie, Captain Marvel and The Wasp and the phrase: Ladies let's get information while being bothered by Zoe Zimmer's character played by Laurel Marsden, in the comics Zoe is the first person Ms Marvel saves from danger.
El tráiler establece muy clara el fanatismo de Kamala por Capitana Marvel, incluso se ve haciendo cosplay de ella. También la vemos usando una camisa con Valkirya, la capitana Marvel y La avispa y la frase: Ladies let´s get information mientras es molestada por el personaje de Zoe Zimmer interpretado por Laurel Marsden, en los comics Zoe es la primera persona que Ms Marvel salva de peligro.
Then the trailer goes on to show part of the powers after putting on the bracelet. Then we see a glimpse of her older brother Amir Khan played by Saagar Shaikh, in the comics he is the first to suspect about Kamala's powers. And then we see Kamala's room full of Captain Marvel stuff.
Entonces el tráiler va mostrando parte de los poderes después de colocarse el brazalete. Luego vemos un vistazo a su hermano mayor Amir Khan interpretado por Saagar Shaikh, en los comics es el primero en sospechar sobre los poderes de Kamala. Y luego vemos la habitación de Kamala llena de cosas de la Capitana Marvel.

We see what seems to be the organization that will be the counterpart, by the vehicles and uniforms we can speculate a possible relationship with S.W.O.R.D. or some Hydra appendage.
Then we see more powers, this time more comic book-like, as he can be seen stretching his body and enlarging his fists.
Vemos lo que parece será la organización que estará de contraparte, por los vehículos y uniformes se puede especular una posible relación con S.W.O.R.D o algún apéndice de Hydra.
Luego vemos más poderes, esta vez más parecidos a los comics, pues se le puede ver estirando su cuerpo y agrandando sus puños.

The trailer shows the Disney Channel tone that the series will have, a very teenage style. It doesn't show details of any villains, it's basically an introduction of Kamala Khan, a glimpse of her friends and family and a small sample of Ms. Marvel's powers. It's going to be very connected to the UCM as Kamala is very much a super hero fan. I liked it a lot, it promises a lot, it's going to give us a lot to talk about and I'm sure it's going to give us a lot of joy.

El tráiler muestra el tono Disney Channel que tendrá la serie, un estilo muy adolecente. No muestra detalles de ningún villano, es básicamente una presentación de Kamala Khan, un vistazo a sus amigos y familia y una pequeña muestra de los poderes de Ms. Marvel. Va a estar muy conectada al UCM ya que Kamala es muy fanática de los súper héroes. A mí me ha gustado mucho, promete mucho, va a dar de que hablar y estoy seguro nos va a regalar bastantes alegrías.
