I hope you are very, very well, I am here happy to have seen the first episode of the sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders, which is entitled "Black Day", which I have been waiting for a long time and I am anxious to write a review with Spoiler, episode that very quickly answered the two big questions I've been asking myself all this time, which are: Number one: What were they going to do with the character of Aunt Polly? Since, as we unfortunately learned, the actress Helen McCrory, who played the eternal Aunt Polly, died of cancer and was unable to participate in the filming of this season. And number two: who foiled Tommy's plans at the end of season five?

Espero que estén muy, pero muy Bien, yo estoy aquí feliz de haber visto el primer episodio de la sexta y última temporada de Peaky Blinders, que se titula “Black Day”., la cual llevo esperando mucho tiempo y estoy ansioso de escribir una reseña con Spoiler, episodio que muy rápido me respondió las dos grades preguntas que vengo haciéndome durante todo este tiempo, que son: Numero uno: ¿Qué iban a hacer con el personaje de la tía Polly? Ya que, como supimos lamentablemente la actriz Helen McCrory, quien interpretaba a la eterna tía Polly falleció a causa de un cáncer y no pudo participar en el rodaje de esta temporada. Y numero dos: ¿quién frustró los planes de Tommy al final de la quinta temporada?
From the first frame in this episode everything is excellent, the stage, the costumes, the photography, the music, the performances, everything is perfection. Wonderful! I never tire of recommending it. As expected, it was going to be a sad start and at the same time with a lot to explain. Remembering that the fifth season ended with a dismayed Tommy pointing to his head about to pull the trigger, and indeed he does (which surprised me) luckily Arthur already suspected what he could do and had emptied the magazine in Tom's gun. There are some lines from Tommy that says: "mother they let you pass, they don't want to let me". Let's remember that according to what Uncle Charley told him, Tommy's mother committed suicide and they, in their gypsy superstitions, believe that she has some kind of curse. Leaving a shot with a Tommy with his face in the swamp bottoming out like he never has.
Then after a phone call we are told that who warted Tommy's plans last season was the I.R.A. Because they want Oswald Mosley alive, while Tom is on the phone the corpses of Barry, Aberama Gold and Aunt Polly arrive. All through an elusive montage, which continues with a minute of silence, composed of close-ups of Tommy, Ada, Arthur, Finn, Lizzie, Jeremiah, Uncle Charlie, Johnny Dogs, ending with Michael saying goodbye to his mother from him, swearing revenge on Tommy.
Desde el primer encuadre en este episodio todo es excelente, el escenario, el vestuario, la fotografía, la música, las actuaciones, Todo es perfección. ¡Qué maravilla! no me canso de recomendarla. Como lo esperaba, iba a ser un inicio triste y al mismo tiempo con mucho que explicar. Recordando que la quinta temporada termino con Tommy consternado apuntándose a la cabeza apunto de jalar el gatillo, y en efecto lo hace (cosa que me sorprendió) afortunadamente Arthur ya sospechaba lo que podía hacer y le había vaciado el cargador a la pistola de Tom. Hay unas líneas de Tommy que dice: “madre a ti de dejaron pasar, a mí no quieren dejarme”. Recordemos que según le contó el tío Charley, la madre de Tommy se suicidó y ellos en sus supersticiones gitanas creen que tiene algún tipo de maldición. Dejando un plano con un Tommy con la cara en el pantano tocando fondo como nunca lo ha hecho.
Acto seguido tras una llamada nos dicen que quién frustró los planes de Tommy la temporada pasada fue el I.R.A. ya que ellos quieren a Oswald Mosley vivo, mientras Tom está en el teléfono llegan los cadáveres de Barry, Aberama Gold y la tía Polly. Todo a través de un montaje esquicito, que continua con minuto de silencio, compuesto por primeros planos de Tommy, Ada, Arthur, Finn, Lizzie, Jeremiah, el tío Charlie, Johnny Dogs, terminado con un Michael despidiéndose de su madre, jurándole vengarse de Tommy.
Four years go by, and it gets to the end of 1933, we see Tommy arrive at Miquelon Island, in northern Canada, which is French territory, a port used for smuggling liquor to the U.S. during prohibition, a law that had just been abolished ending the illegal liquor trade. Tom goes to meet with American mobsters including his cousin Michael. There is a sequence while Tommy waits in the bar of a Motel that is a marvel, we see a Tommy who has been 4 years without drinking, controlled, sober, more cold and assertive than ever starring in a scene of Western very well achieved. Then he meets with his partners. In this meeting Tom tells them that with the end of the prohibition the new business will be smuggling the Opium that the Chinese sold him in the previous season, that with the Billie Boys of Belfas he can move it to get it to Miquelon where neither the Canadian police nor the FBI have jurisdiction.
Tommy gets ready to leave and his mafia "friends" don't let him, in a power play with a very well managed tension, Tom recites a fragment of the poem "A Poison Tree" by William Blake, and tells them that there is a snitch in his organization and leaves leaving a briefcase full of opium to Michael. On his way out, Tommy makes a phone call, ratting Michael out to the police, which ends with Michael being arrested.
Pasan 4 años, y llega a finales de 1933, vemos a Tommy llegar a la Isla de Miquelon, al norte de Canadá, que es territorio francés, Un puerto usado para el contrabando de licor hacia EEUU durante la prohibición, ley que acababa de ser abolida acabando con el tráfico ilegal de licor. Tom va a reunirse con mafiosos americanos entre los que se encuentra su primo Michael l. Hay una secuencia mientras Tommy espera en el bar de un Motel que es una maravilla, vemos a un Tommy que lleva 4 años sin beber, controlado, sobrio, más frio y asertivo que nunca protagonizar una escena de Western muy bien lograda. Para luego reunirse con sus socios. En esta reunión Tom les dice que con el fin de la prohibición el nuevo negocio será contrabando el Opio que le vendieron los chinos en la temporada anterior, que con los Billie Boys de Belfas puede mover para hacerlo llegar hasta Miquelon donde ni la policía de Canadá ni el F.B.I. tienen jurisdicción.
Tommy se dispone a irse y sus “amigos” mafioso no lo dejan, en un juego de poder con una tensión muy bien manejada, Tom les recita un fragmento del poema “A Poison Tree” de William Blake, y les dice que hay un soplón en su organización y se retira dejándole un maletín lleno de opio a Michael. Al salir de allí Tommy hace una llamada telefónica delatando a Michael con la Policía, lo que termina con Michael arrestado.
We go to the USA, with Gina, Michael's wife, played by Anya Taylor-Joy, with another great scene of her dancing Jazz and drinking alone in a luxurious Hotel. Place where Tommy arrives to meet her. He turns to her to send a message to his Uncle Jack, who is needed to run the opium business. Uncle Jack is an important person in the USA, a friend of the President, he is the one who gave Michael a position in North America, and Gina is his favorite niece. In the face of Gina's refusal, Tommy pressures her with the threat that if she doesn't sell the opium to Jack, he will sell it to the Jews (the Solomons, Alfie's family) which would be very bad for Jack.
We return to London with Lizzie, who through a phone call tells Tommy that his daughter Ruby is sick, with a high fever and delirious said words in Romani, Tom is alarmed and asks Lizzie to keep Ruby away from the water and horses and to look for Johnny Dogs and Esme to protect his daughter. She tells him she is leaving for London.
Before leaving for England, Tommy visits Michael in jail and tells him that Jack is traveling to London to buy whiskey licenses, accompanied by his wife, his mistress, President Roosevelt's son and Gina. He also confides that it was he who had him arrested.
Nos vamos a USA, con Gina, la mujer de Michael, interpretada por Anya Taylor-Joy, con otra gran escena de ella bailando Jazz y bebiendo sola en un Hotel de lujo. Lugar donde llega Tommy para encontrarse con ella. Él se vuelve hacia ella para enviarle un mensaje a su tío Jack, a quien se necesita para administrar el negocio del opio. El tío Jack es una persona importante en los EE. UU., amigo del presidente, él es quien le dio a Michael un puesto en América del Norte y Gina es su sobrina favorita. Ante la negativa de Gina, Tommy la presiona con la amenaza de que, si ella no le vende el opio a Jack, él se lo venderá a los judíos (los Solomon, la familia de Alfie) lo que sería muy malo para Jack.
Regresamos a Londres con Lizzie, quien a través de una llamada telefónica le dice a Tommy que su hija Ruby está enferma, con fiebre alta y delirando dice palabras en romaní, Tom se alarma y le pide a Lizzie que mantenga a Ruby alejada del agua y los caballos y que cuide para Johnny Dogs y Esme para proteger a su hija. Ella le dice que se va a Londres.
Antes de partir hacia Inglaterra, Tommy visita a Michael en la cárcel y le dice que Jack viaja a Londres para comprar licencias de whisky, acompañado por su esposa, su amante, el hijo del presidente Roosevelt y Gina. También confiesa que fue él quien lo hizo arrestar.
And so ends this first episode. An episode that takes its time, with a sad beginning, with the usual quality. Where everything was focused on Tommy's movements to lay the groundwork for the new plots that this season will bring, also some of the pending from last season were clarified, there was no development of the plot of Oswald Mosley, and a total absence of the rest of the Shelby brothers. For me an excellent start to the season, and now we only have to wait for next week for the second episode called "Black Shirt".

Y así termina este primer episodio. Un episodio que se toma su tiempo, con un inicio triste, con la calidad de acostumbre. Donde todo se centró en los movimientos de Tommy para sentar las bases de las tramas nuevas que traerá esta temporada, también se aclararon algunos de los pendientes de la temporada pasada, no hubo desarrollo de la trama de Oswald Mosley, y una ausencia total del resto de los hermanos Shelby. Para mí un excelente inicio de temporada, y ahora solo queda esperar la próxima semana para el segundo episodio que tiene el nombre de “Black Shirt”
