"Isabel" is a 3-chapter mini-series about the life of writer Isabel Allende starring Daniela Ramirez, a Chilean actress with a long career in theater, television, and film. It is a production with a script by Jonathan Cuchacovich, who worked on the story for more than two years and had the direct collaboration of the writer Isabel Allende making it a series very close to the reality of the life of this charismatic woman.

"Isabel" es una miniserie de 3 capítulos sobre la vida de la escritora Isabel Allende protagonizada por Daniela Ramírez, una actriz chilena de larga trayectoria en teatro, televisión y cine. Es una producción con un guión de Jonathan Cuchacovich quien trabajó en la historia por más de dos años y tuvo la colaboración directa de la escritora Isabel Allende convirtiéndola en una serie muy cercana a la realidad de la vida de esta carismática mujer.

Isabel Allende graduated as a journalist, a profession for the time (the 1960s), and her country of origin (Chile) was only achieved in the majority by men. However, she had an innate talent for writing in such a peculiar way that led her to have a very controversial column in a magazine aimed at a female audience that broke social canons and bombarded the prevailing machismo in Chile. Isabel was a woman who had to face the crossroads of choosing between pursuing her professional dreams, being a mother, or being a wife.

A surname that marked her exile

After the military coup in Chile in September 1973, things changed radically for this writer. Having the Allende surname was difficult at that time however despite this, she participated in clandestine activities to move people persecuted by the regime to safe places, which put her and her family in danger, which led her to leave the country and live in Venezuela for a few years. This exile was not easy, abroad was not worth surname or professional career, a very hard blow that along with a new environment, a new society led her to moments of depression and to make radical decisions.

El miedo, el abandono, la incertidumbre fueron sentimientos presentes en la infancia de Isabel aspectos que aparecerán en su vida intrafamiliar adulta. Pasear por la niñez de la escritora le da más sentido a varias de sus obras en especial aquella que la catapultó a al reconocimiento internacional, su famosa novela "La Casa de Los Espíritus".

Una mujer con ideales feministas

Isabel Allende se gradua como periodista, una profesión para la época (años 60) y su país de origen (Chile) solo lograda en su mayoría por hombres, no obstante tenía un talento innato para escribir de una forma tan peculiar que la llevaron a tener una columna muy controversial en una revista dirigida al público femenino que rompía cánones sociales y bombardeaba el machismo imperante en Chile. Isabel fue una mujer que tuvo que enfrentarse a la encrucijada de elegir entre perseguir sus sueños profesionales, ser madre o ser esposa.

Un apellido que signó su exilio

Tras el golpe militar en Chile en Septiembre de 1973, las cosas cambiaron radicalmente para esta escritora. Tener el apellido Allende era difícil en esa época no obstante a pesar de eso participó en actividades clandestinas para trasladar a lugares seguros a personas perseguidas por el régimen, lo cual la puso en peligro a ella y su familia, lo que la lleva a abandonar el país y residenciarse unos años en Venezuela. Este exilio no fue fácil, en el extranjero no valió apellido ni trayectoria profesional, un golpe muy duro que junto a un nuevo ambiente, una nueva sociedad la llevó a momentos de depresión y a tomar decisiones radicales.

"Isabel" is a miniseries with aspects that makes the audience connect automatically, where the fame of this writer is just an image in front of the life so full of reality in this woman who never hesitated to leave testimony of that in each of her novels even up to the hardest moment in the life of a mother as the death of a child.

Setting aside on the success of this writer, the miniseries "Isabel" elegantly captures the intra-family conflicts in terms of beliefs and ways of doing things that together with the circumstances of life, have achieved an incredible material for the more than twenty works that this author has to her credit.

"Isabel" es una miniserie con aspectos que logra que la audiencia se conecte de forma automática, donde la fama de esta escritora es solo una imagen frente a la vida tan llena de realidad en esta mujer que no dudó jamás en dejar testimonio de eso en cada una de sus novelas incluso hasta el momento tan duro en la vida de una madre como la muerte de un hijo.

Haciendo un punto y aparte sobre el éxito de esta escritora, la miniserie "Isabel" plasma de forma muy elegante los conflictos intrafamiliares en cuanto a creencias y formas de hacer las cosas que junto a las circuntancias de vida, han logrado un material increíble para las más de veinte obras que tiene esta autora en su haber.
