First of all, let just say.. wow, this looks pretty dang good for a 23-year-old movie..
Sure, there are better graphics nowadays.. but I've seen much much worse also. This one stands up to time nicely and I am appreciating it much more on this rewatching, compared to when I first saw it.
I remembered seeing a few very cool ideas of future tech from this movie, and that's what made me think of it again. This is the main one. (I forgot exactly how it looked.. it's actually cooler than I remembered and looks like something that could be made today or in the very near future..)
whatever happened to that bracelet/projector thing that would link to a phone and then show the screen on your forearm.. that looked promising. This looks way cooler and like it could do so much more than even today's phones can.
Here's another cool looking gadget that I know is already in use.. probably by the military.. and NOT as cool looking. Imagine having predator vision along with telescoping, image recognition/recording, and so much more in just a simple thing that u can throw over one eye? So cool!
I'm still watching the movie, but I had to post about these few things that I saw all in the opening action. This one is just cool!
Now, is it more cool than seeing modern military craft like the Apache or cobra or jet fighters.. not really.. it's just so awesome looking and so I took some screenshots..
