I really enjoyed watching The Matrix. What I loved most about this movie was that it didn’t just give me action and amazing fight scenes, it pulled me into a world that made me question everything. Every answer seemed to lead to another question 😁.
The movie follows Thomas Anderson, also known as Neo, portrayed by Keanu Reeves. During the day, he worked as an ordinary computer programmer, and at night, he secretly worked as a hacker.
He always felt as though something wasn’t right with the world, even though he could not explain exactly what it was. He was constantly searching for answers about something called The Matrix.
One day, he met a mysterious man named Morpheus, who changed his life. Morpheus knew the truth behind Neo’s questions. He offered Neo two pills, a blue pill and a red pill and asked him to choose one.
He further explained that choosing the blue pill meant he would return to his normal life, while choosing the red one meant he was ready to discover the truth. After much consideration, Neo chose the red pill, and that decision completely changed his life.
Neo later learned the truth about the Matrix. He discovered that the world he had always known was actually a computer-generated simulation called The Matrix. After his discovery, he finally understood why he had always felt as though something was wrong, and that was where his journey began.
Imagine waking up one day and discovering that your entire life has been a lie 😩.
When he first made the shocking discovery, he didn’t immediately accept it and become a hero. He was confused, frightened, and lacked confidence in himself.
The movie became even more interesting when Morpheus said he believed that Neo was “The One.”
That was a lot for Neo to process. He struggled to believe it himself. But after lots of training, he slowly became more confident and started discovering what he was capable of.
Morpheus, on the other hand, was one of the characters I loved so much 🥰. He was always so calm, confident, and committed to finding the truth. I loved how patient he was with Neo, even when Neo was confused and refused to accept that he was who Morpheus believed him to be “The One.” He had so much faith in Neo.
Trinity was also an important character in the movie. She was strong, brave, intelligent, and fierce. Her fighting skills were top-notch. As the movie progressed, she and Neo gradually developed feelings for each other. She eventually became a very important part of his journey.
Sometimes, having someone who believes in you can give you the courage to believe in yourself too.
Then we have the evil villain of the movie 😅, Agent Smith. He represented the power of the Matrix and everything Neo and the others were fighting against. What made him interesting was that he didn’t just want to defeat Neo physically. His mission was to maintain control and protect the system.
One thing that makes The Matrix so entertaining is its action. The fight scenes, gun battles, and special effects were incredibly impressive, especially considering that the movie was released in 1999.
The scene I loved so much was the one where Neo bent backward to avoid the bullets 🤭🤭. It was so impressive🥰
Even after the movie ended, I still had one question in mind: If I were in Neo’s shoes and given the chance to know the truth about my world, even if it completely changed my life, would I take it?
