Something similar to what you have described here, but not as profound, I had read in the series. Since I was a child, heroes were idealized; someone can be virtuous, but they will always be human beings with flaws and shortcomings that they struggle with. From what I see, the series shows that heroes are not so flawless and that we ourselves are the ones who give power to those who abuse us, because people do to you what you allow them to do. Furthermore, from what I read, the series makes us confront ourselves.
