Cuando éramos niños, existían dos series rivales, una era pokemon y la otra digimon, ambas mostraban a niños luchando al lado de poderosas creaturas, pero ambas también tenían historias y estilos completamente distintos, casi que lo único que tienen en común son las creaturas pero de resto son muy diferentes, en mi caso de niño yo era mas amante del anime de pokemon, pero ahora que soy adulto veo a digimon como un anime mucho mas superior, en lo que historia, y desarrollo de personajes se refiere, y es que si pones a un niño a ver digimon ten por seguro que sacara varios mensajes positivos para su vida, mientras de pokemon es mero entretenimiento, y justo después del final de digimon tri llega esta película que plantea ser una especie de cierre para la franquicia con la que todos crecimos, todo comienza con los niños elegidos combatiendo a un digimon en el mundo humano, tarea que ellos se encargan sin problemas, luego de eso se enteran que un extraño digimon roba las conciencias de los niños elegidos de todo el mundo, y entonces les llega otro aviso, a agumon y compañía no les queda mucho tiempo junto a sus niños elegidos, por que bueno han dejado de ser niños, y de aquí en adelante viene mi principal problema, la trama es muy floja, básicamente es super melodramática, y es triste sin razón de serlo, ya que para los que vimos el final digimon 02 sabemos que todo va a terminar bien, así esta película nos haga creer que es un final triste.

Una gran joya que tiene la película es la animación, esta muy bien logrado, y los personajes tienen muchísima fluidez, y las canciones van perfecta con cada etapa que la película nos muestra, la realidad es que digimon a decaído con los años, y solo quedan unos pocos fanáticos que todavía les encanta la franquicia, y si bien digimon 02 tuvo un buen cierre la verdad es que nada termina de superar a la primera serie, en mi opinión si el filme tiene mucho fanservice, y powerup en momentos justos, así que si eres fan de la franquicia la disfrutaras, pero si eres de los que no vio digimon después del final de digimon 02 o no disfrutaste de digimon tri lo mejor es que no la veas y busques un resumen, por que la película no termina de aporta nada con el final ya existente.
