El año pasado en el 2020 se estreno la película de mortal kombat animada de revenge of scorpion, filme que a mi parecer esta mucho mejor realizado que el ultimo live action de la franquicia estrenado este mismo año 2021, lo bueno de todo esto es que la franquicia de mortal kombat esta mas viva que nunca y se esta volviendo mas conocido, lo malo es que estos filmes animadas están poniendo el estándar demasiado alto para los futuros live action que están por salir, y es que esta película, comienza con fuerza, y con un nuevo torno mucho mas sangriento y además una historia en paralelo que involucra a subzero y scorpion, que mas adelante se va a ir uniendo con la historia de nuestros protagonistas, ambas historias en paralelo están bien logrado pero hay momentos que se siente demasiado separadas y la forma de unirlas al final, no es malo pero si algo extraña, por no decir que no se buscaron una excusa muy buena.
Last year in 2020 was released the mortal kombat animated film revenge of scorpion, film that in my opinion is much better done than the last live action of the franchise released this same year 2021, the good thing about all this is that the mortal kombat franchise is more alive than ever and is becoming more known, the bad thing is that these animated films are setting the standard too high for future live action that are about to come out, and this movie, starts with force, and with a new much bloodier lathe and also a parallel story involving Subzero and Scorpion, which later will be joining with the story of our protagonists, both parallel stories are well achieved but there are moments that feel too separate and the way to unite them at the end, is not bad but somewhat strange, not to say that they did not look for a very good excuse.
Se supone que en esta segunda parte el protagonista debía ser liu kang y de verdad comienza la historia mostrándonos su origen, pero a cambio de eso raiden y subzero se roban todo el show, básicamente hasta el villano tiene un mejor desarrollo, se que es un filme animado pero apenas dura una hora con veinte minutos, creo que con diez minutos extras para adentrarnos en la historia de este personaje hubiera estado genial, la película no es mala solo que se enfoca en muchas cosas al mismo tiempo, si me lo preguntaron la película anterior del 2020 fue un 8 y esta es un 7, no esta nada mal, pero no supera a la anterior, pero la verdad lo tenia difícil y es que el primer torneo de mortal kombat tiene algo especial, los personajes que lo rodean son increíbles, y claro también entiendo gracias a esto por que la live action quiso no explorar el torneo del todo, para luego darle mas enfoque en posteriores secuelas, recomiendo verla, si no eres fanático de mortal kombat de igual forma te gustara.
In this second part the main character was supposed to be Liu Kang and he really starts the story showing us his origin, but instead of that Riden and Subzero steal the whole show, basically even the villain has a better development, I know it is an animated film but it only lasts an hour and twenty minutes, I think that with ten extra minutes to get into the history of this character would have been great, the movie is not bad, it just focuses on many things at the same time, if you asked me the previous movie of 2020 was an 8 and this is a 7, it is not bad, but it does not exceed the previous one, but the truth is that the first mortal kombat tournament has something special, the characters that surround it are incredible, and of course I also understand thanks to this why the live action wanted to not explore the tournament at all, and then give more focus on later sequels, I recommend watching it, if you are not a fan of mortal kombat you will like it anyway.
