Justo hace un minuto acabo de terminar de ver la tercera entrega de este universo de terror basado en los expedientes Warren, todos basados en casos de la vida real hasta donde se sabe, y tengo emociones encontradas, por una parte las únicas dos películas que realmente me han gustado de este universo son la primera y Annabelle: Creation, de resto todas me parecen entretenidas sin llegar a ser buenas, y esta tercera entrega llamo mi atención, ya que exploraba un caso casi verídico sobre un chico que alego ser poseído y que básicamente el diablo le obligo a asesinar a alguien, de aquí puedo ser que la premisa suene genial, pero no termina de cumplir, hay muchas escenas que se sientes extendidas, casi que se les alarga a la fuerza con el fin de buscar de contar algo, pero solo logran quitarle ritmo a la película, el filme dura dos horas, pero fácilmente se le pudieron eliminar 20 minutos que están de relleno, y que no dan miedo, tampoco te hacen sentir perturbado, ni ayudan a adentrarte a lo que esta pasando, de hecho los momentos donde mas sentí conexión real con la trama, fue cuando al chico lo meten a prisión, y te hace preguntarte, que tal si eso me pasara, que nadie te crea, de verdad que si la película hubiera explorado mas sobre el caso, el juicio, todo el proceso que el chico vivió, el filme seria mucho mas interesante.
Just a minute ago I just finished watching the third installment of this horror universe based on the Warren Files, all based on real life cases as far as I know, and I have mixed emotions, on the one hand the only two movies I really liked of this universe are the first one and Annabelle: Creation, otherwise I find them all entertaining without being good, and this third installment caught my attention, as it explored an almost true case about a boy who claimed to be possessed and that basically the devil forced him to murder someone, from here I can be that the premise sounds great, but does not end up fulfilling, there are many scenes that feel extended, almost that they are lengthened by force in order to seek to tell something, but only manage to remove rhythm to the film, the film lasts two hours, but they could have easily eliminated 20 minutes that are filler, and that are not scary, nor do they make you feel disturbed, nor do they help you get into what is happening, in fact the moments where I felt more real connection with the plot, was when the boy is put in prison, and it makes you wonder, what if that happened to me, that no one believes you, really if the film had explored more about the case, the trial, the whole process that the boy lived, the film would be much more interesting.
Pero hay puntos rescatables, las actuaciones son bastante buenas, y nunca llegas a descubrir quien esta detrás de todo esto, hasta que llegas al punto final de la película, algo bastante positivo, pero si es cierto que por momentos se siente aburrida, te puedes llegar a distraer en varios momentos por que pierdes el hilo por como esta siendo contada la historia, eso si, el primer acto del filme, es sublime, te llena de tención, la película cae bastante cuando empiezan a hacer una especie de investigación al estilo scooby doo, pero con posesiones, no es mala película, si estas aburrido o no tienes otro filme que ver esta noche adelante, al menos pasaras un rato agradable, mas no esperes asustarte.
But there are redeemable points, the performances are quite good, and you never get to discover who is behind all this, until you get to the end of the film, something quite positive, but it is true that at times it feels boring, you can get distracted at various times because you lose the thread by how the story is being told, the first act of the film, is sublime, it fills you with tension, the film falls quite a lot when they start to do a kind of scooby doo style investigation, but with possessions, it is not a bad movie, if you are bored or do not have another film to watch tonight go ahead, at least you will spend a nice time, but do not expect to be scared.
