Synopsis
Hellsing Ultimate, in this world we are welcomed to England, where is the headquarters of an organization that bears the same name of this spectacular series "Hellsing", where their mission is to hunt vampires and any type of entity that is far from human understanding. But how do humans kill vampires, is it with silver crosses, garlic, holy water? The answer is no, the deep darkness of the night is fought with deeper darkness, since this governmental entity that does not exist for the world, years ago managed to capture and tame one of the strongest Vampires in history, the great Alucard, which has the obligation and pleasure to fulfill all the orders of his Mistress Integra. As out-of-the-ordinary vampire appearances develop, the world realizes that there is an organization that is creating them, all in order to cause a terrible war. What will Hellsing and his vampire hunter do about it?
Opinion
Within Hellsing there is the normal series and the OVAs called "Hellsing Ultimate", so, when I was younger I could see the first installment, later I find that this anime has OVAs, and looking for a review for the community, I could see them and they are simply INCREDIBLE IN EVERY SENSE, besides, for being an old anime I could see it again by Netflix and in my opinion in terms of battles, blood, style, diversity of skills, it can be compared to the best of the best, not for nothing is in the top of anime genre "Gore", denoting that there are many great aspects that can be seen within this fabulous anime, the intrinsic darkness of the night and battles that represent it. In that sense I will highlight the features that most caught my attention:
Blood: It is normal that in most gore or combat anime we can see good animations of blood and this is mostly seen in a simple way, not here. In Hellsing we will see bloodshed and brutality everywhere without skimping on animation, it is one of the characteristics that separate it from other anime of this type.
Tools: In this world we have a great diversity of tools, very different from what we normally see, we can see swords, guns, rifles, cannons, bayonets, and many types of objects that can be used in battle.
Animation: I rarely mention this, but for the time that this anime has the animation and atmosphere are really excellent, totally perfect for the plot that is told, a very detailed and perfect drawing for the characters that are developed.
Scenarios
I have absolutely no complaints about this since we are talking about a dark and dark story, with magic and religion, therefore the scenarios where they are developed are really important because it increases the immersion of the person who is appreciating it directly in the development of the story, in that sense, while these are consistent with what is being narrated, the better the experience, in my case, it is so and this particular aspect I have absolutely nothing to complain about, I think it's perfect.
Here we can find locations with abandoned houses, basements, churches, streets, alleys, cities, and many other scenarios in which our characters will make total devastation of the environment, simply impressive.
Light VS Darkness
This is a quite remarkable aspect, in this world and in the vast majority of stories of vampires, monsters, demons, etc... We always find the eternal battle between good and evil, light against darkness, for this reason, this is no different, but the story we are told is really deep and also beautiful despite so much darkness, apart from the battles and the whole theme of blood and killing, it is always necessary to have small details like this that make us get attached to the characters.
Because Alucard and Hellsing in the eyes of the Catholic Church are a representation of evil, on several occasions we will have furtive encounters one on one between the hunters of Hellsing and the Vatican, in which our charismatic hunter has a great past with the descendants of the hunters of the light, an extremely beautiful story along with incredible battles.
Battles
These are extremely bloody, fast, and full of brutality, I tend to pay close attention to this, as it is one of the aspects that most attract my attention, within this universe, there is an excitement on the part of the characters when fighting against others, the pleasure of destroying your opponent, regenerate and continue battling until there is a winner, shooting, cutting, hitting, stabbing, are each and every one of these particulars that make each battle better than the previous one.
With so much blood in between, dark conversations between hitmen and characters who love the pleasure of battles, being between life and death, it is something magnificent and worth detailing with all of you.
Weapons
I consider it pertinent to reopen this section for a review of this style, since the weapons shown here are beautiful and powerful, with structures that are not at all created to be carried by humans, such as guns and cannons on humans. Here I will detail the ones I liked the most:
Casull and Jackal: Two semi-automatic pistols owned by Alucard made by Walter especially for him, which have an extremely large weight to be held by a human, this shoot 13-millimeter explosive ammunition, silver bullets made directly from the cross coming from Manchester Cathedral, with precision, power and skill, these weapons are perfect for our iconic hunter in his mission of "Search and Destroy".
Bayonets: Within this world there is a very eccentric character, a catholic father in charge of the annihilation of demons, he faces them with his verses with total determination and faith. In addition to all this, he has these bayonets which are perfect for annihilating creatures of darkness, these sharp weapons are embedded with certain sacred phrases, which make, when piercing immortal beings, feel the real damage.
Characters
It's time to talk about the characters of this incredible anime and the truth was very difficult for me to decide on only 3, obviously, there will be "Alucard" since he is my favorite, but for the other two I thought too much, since this time there are many very good and well developed, however, I hope you like this choice:
Alucard: Coming from the deepest darkness, a survivor of hundreds of wars, one of the most powerful vampires known in the history of mankind, the perfect incarnation of evil. After years of wandering the world doing whatever he pleases, he is captured by the Hellsing organization and tamed under their orders and contracts, thanks to this, this vampire develops a greater pleasure than just killing, which has to do a lot with following the orders of humans, observing their evolution and watching the faces of these terrified make his life as a hunter exciting. With an overflowing power, skill with all kinds of weapons, "Alucard" is in charge of all the murders of Hellsing.
Father Alexander Anderson: This character I mentioned earlier as a bayonet-wielder, this devout father of the Catholic Church is the main weapon of the Vatican's Section 13 "Iscariot ", an organization hidden in the deepest recesses of the world, in charge of eliminating all enemies of the church. This man is a total eccentric lover of eliminating all targets and enemies without discriminating one from the other, a powerful opponent who defends himself with his sharp bayonets, verses, and a modified body to face the hordes of dark beings.
Seras Victoria: A female character with great development, this was a common girl dedicated to the job of being a policeman, her motivation to be one was due to her love for her father, who was also a policeman. One normal night, Seras is assigned to a mission in a small town, where she discovers the existence of vampires, she is discovered by Alucard, rescued and turned into Nosferatu (nightwalker), after this she puts herself under the orders of her new master and the Hellsing order, being guided by her savior and new master, this girl has an incredible evolution within the plot.

We sadly reached the end of this fabulous review, I loved writing about this anime that is absolutely one of my favorites in the Gore genre, although it is somewhat old, considered Old-School, deserves all the merit it has, I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing it for you, I certainly highly recommend this great work of art.

Hellsing Ultimate, en este mundo nos dan la bienvenida a Inglaterra. en la cual está la sede de una organización que lleva el mismo nombre de esta espectacular serie “Hellsing”, donde la misión de estos es cazar vampiros y cualquier tipo de ente que este alejado de la comprensión humana. Pero ¿cómo matan vampiros los humanos, será con cruces de plata, ajo, agua bendita? La respuesta es no, la profunda oscuridad de la noche se combate con una oscuridad más profunda, ya que este ente gubernamental que no existe para el mundo, hace años logro capturar y domesticar a uno de los Vampiros más fuertes de la historia, el gran Alucard, el cual tiene la obligación y placer de cumplir todas las ordenes de su Ama Integra. Mientras se desarrollan apariciones de vampiros fuera de lo normal, el mundo se da cuenta que hay una organización que los está creando, todo con el fin de causar una guerra terrible. ¿Que harán Hellsing y su cazador de vampiros con respecto a esto?
Opinión
Dentro de Hellsing existe la serie normal y las OVAS llamadas “Hellsing Ultimate”, así que, cuando era más joven pude ver la primera entrega, posteriormente me encuentro con que este anime tiene OVAS y buscando una reseña para la comunidad, pude verlas y son sencillamenteINCREIBLES EN TODOS LOS SENTIDOS, ademas, para ser un anime viejo lo pude ver nuevamente por Netflix y en mi opinión en cuanto a batallas, sangre, estilo, diversidad de habilidades, se puede comparar con lo mejor de lo mejor, no por nada está en el top de animes de género “Gore”, denotando que son muchos aspectos geniales que se pueden ver dentro de este anime tan fabuloso, la intrínseca oscuridad de la noche y batallas que la representan. En tal sentido resaltare las características que más llamaron mi atención:
Sangre: Es normal que en la mayoría de animes gore o de combate podamos ver buenas animaciones de sangre y esta mayormente se ve de forma sencilla, aquí no. En Hellsing veremos derramamientos de sangre y brutalidad por todos lados sin escatimar en animación, es una de las características que lo separan de otros animes de este tipo.
Herramientas: Dentro de este mundo tenemos una gran diversidad de herramientas, muy alejadas a lo que normalmente vemos, podremos apreciar espadas, pistolas, rifles, cañones, bayonetas y muchos tipos de objetos que pueden ser empleados en batalla.
Animación: En pocas ocasiones hago mención a esto, pero para el tiempo que tiene este anime la animación y ambientación es en realmente excelente, totalmente perfecta para la trama que se cuenta, un dibujo bastante detallado y perfecto para los personajes que se desarrollan.
Escenarios
De esto no tengo absolutamente ningún tipo de queja, ya que estamos hablando de una historia tenebrosa y oscura, con magia y religión, por ende los escenarios donde se desarrollan son realmente importantes, debido a que aumenta la inmersión de la persona que lo está apreciando directamente en el desarrollo de la historia, en tal sentido, mientras estos sean acordes a lo que se está narrando, mucho mejor será la experiencia, en mi caso es así y de este aspecto en particular no tengo absolutamente nada de que quejarme, me parece perfecto.
Aquí podremos encontrarnos con locaciones con casas abandonadas, sótanos, iglesias, calles, callejones, ciudades y muchos otros escenarios en las cuales nuestros personajes harán una devastación total del ambiente, sencillamente impresionante.
Luz VS Oscuridad
Este es un aspecto bastante destacable, en este mundo y en la gran mayoría de historias de vampiros, monstruos, demonios etc. Siempre nos encontramos con la eterna batalla entre el bien y el mal, la luz contra la oscuridad, por esta razón este no es diferente, pero la historia que nos cuentan es realmente profunda y ademas hermosa a pesar de tanta oscuridad, aparte de las batallas y todo el tema de la sangre y matanzas, siempre es necesario tener pequeños detalles como este que nos hagan apegarnos con los personajes.
Debido a que Alucard y Hellsing a ojos de la Iglesia Católica son una representación del mal, en reiteradas ocasiones tendremos encuentros furtivos uno a uno entre los cazadores de Hellsing y los del Vaticano, en el cual nuestro carismático cazador tiene un gran pasado con los descendientes de los cazadores de la luz, una historia en extremo hermosa junto a batallas increíbles.
Batallas
Estas son sumamente sangrientas, veloces y llenas de brutalidad, tiendo a prestar mucha atención a esto, ya que es uno de los aspectos que más llaman mi atención, dentro de este universo existe una excitación por parte de los personajes a la hora de combatir contra otros, el placer de destruir a tu rival, regenerarse y seguir batallando hasta que haya un ganador, disparando, cortando, golpeando, apuñalando, son todos y cada uno de estos particulares que hacen que cada batalla sea mejor que la anterior.
Con tanta sangre de por medio, conversaciones tenebrosas entre sicarios y personajes amantes del placer de las batallas, estando entre la vida y la muerte, es algo magnifico y que vale la pena detallar con todos ustedes.
Armas
Considero pertinente abrir nuevamente esta sección para una reseña de este estilo, ya que las armas que muestran aquí son hermosas y potentes, con estructuras que no son para nada creadas para ser portadas por humanos, como pistolas y cañones sobre humanos. Aquí detallare las que más me gustaron:
Casull y Jackal: Dos pistolas semiautomáticas propiedad de Alucard hechas por Walter especialmente para él, las cuales tienen un peso extremadamente grande para ser sostenidas por un humano, estas disparan municiones explosivas de 13 milímetros, balas de plata hechas directamente de la cruz proveniente de la Catedral de Manchester, con precisión, potencia y habilidad, estas armas son perfectas para nuestro icónico cazador en su misión de "Buscar y Destruir"
Bayonetas: Dentro de este mundo existe un personaje muy excéntrico, un padre católico encargado de la aniquilación de los demonios, este los afronta con sus versículos con total determinación y fe. Ademas de todo esto, posee estas bayonetas las cuales son perfectas para aniquilar criaturas de la oscuridad, estas armas punzantes tienen incrustadas ciertas frases sagradas, las cuales hacen que, al perforar seres inmortales, sientan el verdadero daño.
Personajes
Es momento de hablar de los personajes de este increíble anime y la verdad se me hizo muy difícil decidirme por solo 3, obviamente aquí estará “Alucard”, ya que es mi favorito, pero para los otros dos lo pensé demasiado, ya que en esta ocasión hay muchos muy buenos y bien desarrollados, sin embargo, espero les guste esta elección:
Alucard: Proveniente de la oscuridad más profunda, sobreviviente de cientos de guerras, uno de los vampiros más poderosos conocidos en la historia de la humanidad, la perfecta encarnación del mal. Luego de años de vagar por el mundo haciendo lo que le plazca, este es capturado por la organización Hellsing y domesticado bajo sus órdenes y contratos, gracias a esto, este vampiro desarrolla un placer más grande que solo matar, lo que tiene que ver mucho con seguir las órdenes de humanos, observar su evolución y observar el rostro de estos aterrorizados hacen que su vida de cazador se excitante. Con un poder desbordante, habilidad con todo tipo de armas, “Alucard” se encarga de todos los asesinatos de Hellsing.
Padre Alexander Anderson: Este personaje lo mencione anteriormente como un portador de bayonetas, este devoto padre de la iglesia católica es el arma principal de la sección 13 del vaticano "Iscariote", una organización oculta en lo más recóndito del mundo, encargada de eliminar a todos los enemigos de la iglesia. Este hombre es un total excéntrico amante de eliminar a todos los objetivos y enemigos sin discriminar a uno de los otros, un poderoso oponente que se defiende con sus afiladas bayonetas, versículos y un cuerpo modificado para hacerle frente a las hordas de seres oscuros.
Seras Victoria: Un personaje femenino con un gran desarrollo, esta era una chica común dedicada al oficio de ser policía, su motivación de serlo fue debido al amor por su padre, el cual también lo era. Una noche normal, Seras es asignada a una misión en un pequeño pueblo, donde descubre la existencia de los vampiros, esta es descubierta por Alucard, rescatada y convertida en Nosferatu (caminante nocturno/a), luego de esto se pone a las órdenes de su nuevo amo y la orden Hellsing, siendo guiada por su salvador y nuevo maestro, esta chica tiene una evolución increíble dentro de la trama.
Fin
Llegamos tristemente al final de esta fabulosa reseña, me encanto escribir sobre este anime que es absolutamente de mis favoritos en el género Gore, si bien es un tanto antiguo, considerado Old-School, merece todo el mérito que posee, espero que hayan disfrutado de este post tanto como yo disfrute redactarlo para ustedes, sin duda recomiendo mucho esta gran obra de arte.
