The anime series, differently from the manga, has decidedly lengthened the story, transforming short and decisive fights into long battles, or rather very long ones, lasting even ten episodes, and even more...

Dragon Ball has the merit of having attracted at least a couple of generations in the world of manga and anime, created in the 90s, it has somehow taken what was good in the previous decades, affiliating millions of kids like me in a world truly magical, projecting us all into truly fantastic and beautiful settings.

Goku's story is developed in a compelling way, the idea that a child can have extraordinary strength always made me think that I too was capable of doing all this... Blissful youth of a few decades ago... The first series is truly fantastic, the novelty is one of a kind, the exciting stories, the beautiful tournaments with clashes that really excited me, and which have always encouraged me to watch the next episode, never a boring episode.

Differently, the second series, Dragonball Z, was, although exciting from a narrative point of view, very long, with over 300 episodes. Some epic battles, among all the challenge against Majin Buu was prolonged beyond all imagination, to the point that after a few years a synthesized Dragonball Z was made, the number of episodes was in fact almost halved. The Z series narrates the events of 4 different sagas:

Saiyan saga
Frieza Saga
Cell Saga
Majin Buu saga

Although the Dragonball Z series was very long, the four narrated sagas are well constructed, compelling, endless but exciting. In my opinion, the series should have ended here, but the worldwide success pushed the author to produce other, less successful series, such as Dragonball GT and then Super, series that I didn't like, perhaps because in the meantime I grew up and I wanted to think that my adolescence was happy like this.

Nowadays kids and adults like to watch such things and the things that are similar are becoming very popular all over the world.

Hello, welcome to The Anime Realm community!

I firmly believe that the best of Dragon Ball was the beginning, to see the origins of these heroes that have marked several generations is something quite significant. Back then the characters were purer and didn't have so many filters. As for the fights, no way, they were more bloody, raw and exciting. Regarding Z, the saga I liked the most was the Saiyan.

Ohh I remember how in my childhood I you know in my childhood I was big fan of Dragon Ball series! I remember how I was waiting new series. Especially I was glad when in 10th years was produced full screen movie. I even put Shenlon on my QSO card as a main character)) But nowadays due busy life and haven't enough time to look after it. At the other side just couple years ago I found time to watch again all series yuhh it was great and brought me again to my childhood years. Now my are kids to small but I hope maybe two or three years later they decide to look Dragon ball first series. And surely I'll join to them😉🙃

Da ragazzino questo anime/manga mi aveva totalmente conquistato, ricordo che lo scoprii quasi per caso e non lo conosceva ancora nessuno, pochi anni dopo esplose il successo di questa avvincente storia... bellissimo... riguardandolo oggi devo ammettere che è ancora attuale e nettamente superiore a tanti progetti odierni.
