Cache' is a psychological thriller meditating on the mental barriers we erect in society regarding class, race, and culpability. It touches on our innate biases regarding judging other people and beliefs; including immigration, colonialism, surveillance, integrity, and much more. Seeing the conflicts in the world through these lenses exposes our own internal hypocrisy and judgemental nature, and exposes the huge gap between where we are and where we need to be as a species. As cache' means hidden in French, it speaks to all that is unknown within our everyday impressions, interpretations and decisions; and all that we refuse to see.
Cache' was created by Austrian filmmaker Michael Haneke. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cach%C3%A9_(film)
