The Square involves many things, but overall speaks how we don't truly want to think about the existence of others, but mostly think about ourselves. It is hard and unusual in many ways to think about others. The Square makes us ponder what a society of shared values would look like... and therefore implies the question of why we don't have one. These questions reflect on the current chaos and belligerence we see in the world, war-aggression-apathy-superficiality, and our unwillingness to comprehend people from different sets of circumstances. It also delves into how we are all seeking different kind of help and understanding, but often talking past each other because we are all asking for things from our own specific needs and point of view which may be incomprehensible to another.
