Hola Hive!

Hello Hive! First of all I hope you had a fantastic New Year's Eve, I wish you all the success in this new beginning and CHEER UP, dreams are not fulfilled from one day to the next but they can be achieved gradually. Today I had planned to bring you an update of what I am doing with my Wii, but some of the files I downloaded came corrupted so I have to investigate again and it will take me a few more days to make all the emulators I want to put on the console work, instead we will talk about one of my favorite games ever, you will see, when I was a kid I had all these toys from different franchises and cartoons that I loved and I used to fight them in "interdimensional tournaments" that I made in my room, for me the idea that different characters would meet in a ring to fight seemed like a dream come true so you can imagine my smile when my dad introduced me to the famous Nintendo series, I was the happiest kid for several years with my Gamecube all the time by my side.

For those of you who don't know what Super Smash Bros is all about (sad mortals) I'll explain it to you simply, would you ever have wanted Pikachu to come out of his universe to deal some blows with other Nintendo characters like Mario, Samus, Pitt and many more, Neither would I, but Smash Bros is the result when you leave Nintendo developers alone in a conference room brainstorming, a title that was born as a response to the many fighting titles that were being developed and ended up being the ultimate battle royale simulator for the Japanese giant's characters, it' s an idea too crazy to go wrong but the first title of the saga although it was a commercial success in every way, was somewhat overshadowed by some controls that Nintendo's target audience did not fully recognize, there were button combinations, a feeling that the fighting was rough and in general many thought that although it was an incomplete game the concept of Super Smash had much potential yet to be developed.

Melee. It is one of those games that were made in a hurry but did not lower the level for a second, the second installment of the Nintendo fighting saga was a real show, the grid of available fighters had increased the combat system had improved a lot and above all Nintendo had understood a little better all the potential that was hidden in these characters so it introduced not only an adventure mode but also several varied modes where we could fight in several

rounds against all kinds of CPU and even with our partners, the speed of the game is what stands out most with battles where agility with the controls becomes decisive as well as our strategy on the battlefield, which by the way have added a TON of scenarios if I compare it with the first installment in addition to also many more items and movements, everything around the game had been perfected and now emerged a unique game, designed to be played for years and for which the community will create an ecosystem that will make it one of the most beloved games of Nintendo.

The classic mode of this game allows you to do a series of fights that get more and more complicated until you reach the top where the final boss is, what blows my mind is that every time I played it there was always a different order, some scenery that changed or different objects that appeared which made wonders every time I played it, and I was someone who played between 5-6 hours just to unlock everything that this game has, which is a lot, from the characters that are unlocked every certain number of battles played to the trophies that at first glance is impossible to get them all (to this day I have not been able to complete it), Melee offers so much variety that if you do not like any game mode just skip that one, there are 5 more game modes you can play!

Melee is one of those games where you can see the affection that the developers have with their players, and the players have done their thing putting this game, almost 20 after its release, in one of the most beloved and one of the most watched fighting game communities in the world, it is hard to understand well the impact that the Super Smash Bros saga has had on the video game but there is no doubt that Melee is the gemstone in the crown, a fast game that requires technique to the point that today is still played at the same speed as at its launch.

I've never tried it but it seems cool.
