Les Liaisons Dangereuses || I'm a cinema lover!

Review by @cute-cactus · 1540d · of Les Liaisons dangereuses

Even those who have seen the computer and the internet after a certain stage of their lives have difficulty recognising the limits of social media madness. I am not saying this to criticise, but about the point of social media addiction.

Les Liaisons Dangereuses, a Netflix film that I watched last night, reopened my thoughts about the point of social media addiction.

The film is a very warm and entertaining youth film about a group of high school friends who share everything they do on instagram and make bets on what they can and can't do. It gets ugly when it comes to emotions (love) but I liked the way it handled the subject.

I am not someone who uses social media very actively, I am not against those who do. I just don't find it right that private lives are so deciphered. As long as those who share their private lives on social media make their own decisions, there is no problem, but when the private life shared belongs to second or third parties, it starts to create problems.

In the film Les Liaisons Dangereuses, high school teenagers decipher the private lives and feelings of their friends. Looking at the subject, I cannot criticise the film because what is depicted in the film reflects the reality. I can also say that it highlights the back streets of social media. In this respect, the director, screenwriter and producer deserve my congratulations. In my opinion, they handled a current issue with the right approach. The choice of high school youth as the age category may be in order to show the dimensions that the social media craze can reach in later life. The lives of middle-aged people who have entered business life could also have been selected, and I think it would have been more watchable.

While watching the film, I once again felt that it is right for me to be cautious in the use of social media and not to be an active social media user. I see no harm in people sharing their thoughts, sharing their own skills, sharing their art and their loved ones, sharing their activities. We already share similar content in the use of hive, and I think social media should be a part of our lives in this way. The social networking sites I hesitate to use are those that are unregulated.

I don't remember where I read it, but I remember a sentence that says "the internet is like a desert without social media".

-Does a tenor get applause for clearing his throat? +Where do you come up with these lines? -I'm a cinema lover!

This dialogue I quoted from the film was my favourite scene in the film. I can adapt the last sentence to my life: I am a cinema lover!

Paola Locatelli, who plays the character of Célène (17 years old) in the film, says during a dialogue in the film that she believes in a soul mate and will let only one person (the one she will fall in love with and marry) know her body. I completely agree with her opinion and I liked the emphasis on this issue in the film.

I think middle-aged and older people should watch the film. In other words, younger people can also watch the film, but it can give ideas to middle-aged and older people about the new youth. Instead of judging and criticising young people born and growing up in the age of technology; trying to understand them can help them understand their mistakes, if any, earlier. Those before us have determined a life for themselves, we have determined a life for ourselves, and those after us will determine the life that suits them. Instead of ignoring them, leaving the stage to them is a necessity of the advancing time and technology.

I cannot define the film as a musical film, but if you are one of those who love musical films; there is a musical theatre play performed by high school students in the film. The theme of music is a little limited, but when combined with the theatre, it leaves the pleasure of watching on the palate.

If I understand correctly, this is another adaptation of eponymous 1782 novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, adapted on screen many times, including famous 1988 film starring John Malkovich, Glenn Close and Michelle Pfeiffer, and, later, in 1999 as Cruel Intentions.
