We know many wars in history from the records of those who have recorded them, where they were fought, which side won, and the consequences for the participants. We do not know the effects of the war before or after the war, the consequences of the war on the participants.
In the wars in our recent history, we see the victimization, brutality, economic dimensions, mass killings and similar consequences both by experiencing them and through the images of what happened.
Today, I watched a 2014 Serbian-Croatian co-production film with the original title Ničije dete, which I will not easily get over.
No first name! No surname! No date of birth! No place of birth! No parents! His nationality is Yugoslavia because he was found there!
He doesn't talk, doesn't walk, barks and is very aggressive.
The child who has a life that is burdened with more drama within the dramas of life lacks all the above qualities.
Found naked by hunters, the boy grew up among wolves. He has lost almost all the qualities that make him human. Found in an isolated area of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he was placed in an orphanage in Belgrade.
As he begins to learn everything, he is forced to return to Bosnia due to the civil war that broke out.
When we evaluate something bad, we often ignore the idea of facing something worse. So there is the worst of the worst!
The movie Ničije dete reminds us of this very much during the viewing. The acting of Denis Muric, who I think added value to the movie with the name Haris, which was given to him later, was excellent.
Dealing with the dramas that can exist in life and the effects of the war that erupted on top of it is hard even for strong people, much harder for a child.
One of the biggest influences and teachings of the movie is that if you show a child who doesn't know anything, he will memorize it correctly.
The way he accepted the slang he was taught when he was just starting to speak as if it was normal, the way he used the gun given to him during the civil war without thinking were the best examples of this. There are many such heartbreaking scenes throughout the movie.
Overall, the movie is great and I recommend watching it, but I recommend that those who cannot get rid of the effects of drama movies easily and who are obsessed with it should not watch the movie.
