By now, I am sure all of us have seen the black panther, a film released back in 2018. Chadwick Boseman portrayer in the iconic character was truly remarkable but after his unexpected death in 2020, many fans have been wondering how the series would continue.

Disney has come out to say that the show will go on despite the absence of Chadwick Boseman. Let's take a look at how black panther 2 is coming together now that Chadwick is no more. _source Chadwick Boseman, the black panther star can be replaced, but his character will continue to live on. The director of Black panther will retire to direct the sequel to the 2018 blockbuster, and the film is set to be in theaters on July 8, 2022. Disney has made it clear that Boseman will be honoured, and his role will not change.

Marvel studios president said that it is very emotional without Chad even though everyone is excited to bring the world of Wakanda back to our screens. He continued by saying that they will do it in a way that will make Chad proud.

Boseman was a captivating actor in black panther where he played the role of T'challa, the protector and King of Wakanda. Fans were unaware that Boseman has been diagnosed with the ailment before the film was released. Tragically, he passed away on August 28, 2020, at the age of 43.

Fans were heartbroken and sad as any plans of a sequel was going to be scrapped. More importantly, fans wanted to honour the memory of this legendary actor rather than recasting him in the sequel.

Since the release of black panther in theater in 2018, a sequel was in motion but after Boseman death, plans for the sequel were halted. Even though Marvels has previously recasted some superheroes, marvels fans have quickly criticized the idea of recasting T'challa due to his strong performance.

The sequel is expected to be released in theaters on July 8, 2022. Marvels next chapter of black panther is yet to be revealed even though production of the sequel has already begun. _source In the comic series, T'challa's sister Shuri takes over Wakanda rulership and becomes the black panther. Is this what marvel has in mind? We obviously know that Boseman passed away long before a plan for a sequel was put into action, we don't know if his character will make any post human appearance using computer trickery, unused footage or anything of that nature. We also don't know how Disney plans on honouring his memory but am sure they will do an amazing job.

Many rumours speculated of possible villains in the film with some claiming that Michael B Jordan will return to his role as killmonger, but that may be difficult considering his past. Another speculation is that Namor, an underwater dwelling prince who is half human, half atlantean will arise and try to take over Wakanda. Nothing is sure yet, these are all speculations.

I think this is everything there is to know about the upcoming black panther sequel. I wish I have more information to share here, but at the moment, all we know is that the sequel will continue without Chadwick Boseman.

It's truly heartbreaking to know that Boseman won't be featuring in the black panther sequel, but it's also amazing to see Disney honouring his memory and refusing to simply recast him. I don't know about you but as for me, I can't wait for black panther to be released later next year.

Didn't really like the black panther so I mostly likely wouldn't watch the sequel but I understand the thought behind them not wanting to replace him right now, people are still saddened by his death and it would be too soon.

Anyway, all we have to do at this point is to patiently wait, while keeping our fingers crossed for what is coming.

I'm sure Disney would do all they can to keep to their word of honouring Boseman.

How they'll do that is unknown to us. But I'm sure they'll put in their best.

I'm scared of the sequel being a missed. And it might be, because of the superbness of the first episode.

But if peradventure they get right, then it will be the movie of the decade.

Hello @davidbright. Yes, I was saddened to learn of Boseman's death. He was an excellent actor and brought a stately and ethical quality to the role. I enjoyed Black Panther immensely. When the movie was first released, I didn't know what type of film it would be. It delivered on all my expectations.

Meh! I love a good superhero movie, but as of late Disney is doing a little too much mixing in politics and political correctness into their movies for me. There have been snippets of this since 2010(ish), so I am look less forward to their movies now. I hate that because I love movies! For the comic series and the sister taking over- when were those comics written? I know comics are in play all.the time, but I wonder when that story line was written. I enjoyed the kingdom of Wakanda and the sequel has so much potential, but I hope they don't use Michael B Jordan. I find his acting devoid of ability? That isn't quite right. He is always the same guy in a different role. His character in the last movie mostly carried an obnoxious sneer to me. I liked everything amd everyone else. Was this too negative? I am just cautiously optimistic. Fingers crossed they do the sequel the justice it deserves.
