I’ve been surprised by the quality and high standard of many of the movies that have been released in recent months. Plus, with new actors and directors bringing their own style to a very simple idea, these films end up being hits on various platforms. That’s why Caught Stealing was released with a unique twist, making it a film with a distinct blend of thriller, action, dark humor, and truly unpredictable moments—which might sound nonsensical, but it’s actually a great production.
Muchas de las películas que se han estrenado en estos últimos meses he quedado sorprendido con la calidad y el alto nivel que está tienen, además contar con nuevos actores y directores aportando su propio estilo de una idea muy sencilla termina siendo un éxito en las distintas plataformas. Por eso se estrenó Caught Stealing con un toque y la convierte una película con distinto elemento como thriller, acción, humor negro y momentos realmente impredecibles, la cual puede llegar a sonar sin sentido, pero es realmente una gran producción.
The story introduces us to Hank Thompson, a former baseball player who leads a quiet life typical of any athlete after having played for years, but everything changes when he agrees to take care of a neighbor’s cat—and this is where everything shifts, potentially turning into a life lesson about the very act of agreeing to things just to be nice, but which turn into a nightmare when several criminal groups start hunting him down—and this is where we ask ourselves: Will he ever be able to have a peaceful life again? Is there something hidden?
This is a movie for those who love nonstop action; moreover, the production takes its time and unfolds the story at a steady pace, allowing it to cover every detail and see this great story through to the end. Furthermore, every scene—which are very well crafted—comes into play, thanks to the inclusion of chases, fights, and plot twists that add value to the film, all while the protagonist tries to uncover the truth amid this entire situation—something no one would be prepared to face.
The performances in this installment are strong. Although this is the first time I’ve seen them, Darren Aronofsky demonstrates his ability to handle this genre with style and fearlessness, without losing his essence in films where every second counts. Austin Butler also delivers an interesting performance—his character contributes a great deal while simultaneously struggling to survive, allowing the film’s greatest strength to lie in its characters.
La historia nos presenta a Hank Thompson, un exjugador de béisbol quien lleva una vida tranquila típica de cualquier deportista luego de haber jugado durante años, pero todo cambia cuando acepta cuidar el gato de un vecino y es aquí donde todo cambia y podrá llegar a se una lección de vida, por el mismo hecho de aceptar cosas por quedar bien, pero que resultan una pesadilla cuando varios grupos criminales empiezan a perseguirlo y es aquí donde nos preguntamos ¿Podrá tener una vida tranquila nuevamente? ¿Habrá algo ocultó?
Esa una película para quien le gusta esa acción constante, además la producción no se apresura y va contando todo a un buen ritmo para así poder abarcar cada detalle y llegar hasta el final de toda esa gran historia. Además, entra juego cada escena que están muy bien trabajas por el mismo hecho de incluir persecuciones, pelea y giros que le dan valor a la misma, mientras que se trata de poder saber la verdad ante toda esa situación, siendo algo que nadie estaría preparado para enfrentar.
Las actuaciones de esta entrega son buenas, a pesar de que para mí son la primera vez que las veo esta Darren Aronofsky quien demuestra moverse con estilo, sin miedo y sin perder su esencia en este tipo de películas donde cada segundo cuenta. Mientras que también está Austin Butler con personaje interesante porque aporta mucho, pero a la vez tiene que lograr sobrevivir, permitiendo que uno de los mayores fuerte de la película caíga en los personajes.
I really liked the outcome of this movie, Caught Stealing, because right from the start it shows you one thing, but ends up being an adventure that’s much more daring and exciting. Plus, it has a message that’s perfect for everyone, without neglecting the great work that goes into creating an entertaining thriller. So if you’re looking for something different and want to see how a favor can end in disaster, this movie is for you.
Me gusto mucho el resultado de esta película Caught Stealing, ya que desde un principio te muestra algo y termina siendo una aventura mucho más allá arriesga y emocionante. Además, con ese mensaje que es ideal para todos, pero sin dejar aún lado ese gran trabajo de crear un thriller entretenido, por eso si estás buscando algo distinto y ver cómo un favor puede terminar en un desastre esta entrega es para ti.
