One of my favorite superheroes is Spider-Man, and ever since I was a kid, I've seen every single movie. His personality and the way he acts have led many people to consider him the best, and with every new release, this character always has something unique that makes him special. That’s why Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives as the next chapter in the story—though this installment will be filled with new adventures, challenges, and, above all, a Peter Parker who is no longer the same as he used to be.
This new story reflects a fresh start, as he’s a character who, over the years, has gained a lot of fame and admirers, but now he’s practically alone—no one remembers him—and yet he continues to do what he’s always done: put on the suit and go out to protect the streets. This approach makes the movie feel both thrilling and realistic, since we can all go through that stage in our lives. And even though he may still be Spider-Man, that doesn’t mean his life is perfect—which leads us to wonder: Can he be the same as before? Will he continue to save lives? And many other questions, because behind the suit there’s a person.
Uno de mis superhéroes favoritos es Spider-Man y desde pequeño he visto cada una de las películas y su manera de ser y actuar ha logrado que muchas personas lo consideran el mejor y con cada estreno que hacen siempre este personaje tiene algo único que lo hará especial. Por eso llega Spider-Man: Brand New Day como continuación de la historia, sin embargo, será un parte llena de nuevas aventuras, desafíos y sobre todo ver a un Peter Parker que ya no es el mismo de antes.
Esta nueva historia refleja un nuevo comienzo, ya que es un personaje que con el paso de los años se ha ganado mucha fama, admiradores, pero ahora prácticamente está solo, nadie lo recuerda y aun así continúa haciendo lo que siempre ha hecho: ponerse el traje y salir a proteger las calles. Este enfoque hace que la película se sienta muy emociónate y a la vez real, ya que todo podemos pasar por esa etapa en nuestra vida y aunque puede seguir siendo Spider-Man, no significa que su vida sea perfecta y eso nos lleva a preguntarnos ¿Podrá ser el mismo de antes? ¿Seguirá salvando vida? y muchas otras cosas, porque detrás de un traje hay una persona.
Another thing that works really well are the new conflicts that arise in the movie, which create moments of tension and action, as well as a new threat—and that makes the story gain momentum and helps us realize that being Spider-Man comes at a price, since he may have superpowers, but he’s still a person who feels fear, sadness, and doubt. That’s why we continue to enjoy the movie and see who he’s actually saving and fighting for right up until the very last second.
As another film in the series, we see a much stronger, more mature character, and above all, the weight of his decisions is much greater here than at the beginning, when Peter was younger and excited to become a hero—when he was still learning what it meant to shoulder that responsibility. In addition, the film introduces other well-known characters with whom he shares strong connections. Here, Peter is trying to start from scratch, even though his past is still a part of him and of that mask that has taken him so far.
Otras de las cosas que funciona muy bien son los nuevos conflictos que aparecen en la película, la cual crea esos momentos de tensión, acción, como también una nueva amenaza y eso hace que la historia tome fuerza y darse cuenta de que ser Spider-Man tiene un precio, puesto que puede tener habilidades, pero sigue siendo una persona que siente miedo, tristeza y dudas. Por eso nos lleva a seguir disfrutando y ver en realidad a quien salva y lucha hasta el último segundo.
Al ser otra película de la saga vemos a un personaje mucho más fuerte, maduro y sobre todo aquí el peso de las decisiones es mucho más grande que al principio, donde era un Peter más joven y emocionado por convertirse en un héroe, donde todavía estaba aprendiendo lo que significaba tener esa responsabilidad. Además, colocan a otros personajes que son reconocidos y existen buenas conexiones con dicho personaje, aquí Peter esté intentando comenzar desde cero, aunque su pasado todavía forma parte de él y de esa máscara que lo ha llevado muy lejos.
This new installment feels like a story about learning to live after having lost almost everything—a fresh start for the hero—and that’s exactly what makes it special. Beyond starting from scratch, the idea of helping others remains central, giving the entire film its unique touch. It also leaves many loose ends, which will likely lead to more sequels. That’s why the most valuable lesson is understanding that starting over doesn’t mean leaving behind what we’ve experienced, but rather learning to move forward with everything that made us who we are.
Esta nueva parte se siente como una historia sobre aprender a vivir después de haberlo perdido casi todo, siendo una nueva oportunidad para dicho héroe y es justo lo que hace especial, ya que más allá de comenzar desde cero ese idea de ayudar a las personas se mantiene dándole ese toque único a toda la película, además deja mucha cosa sin resolver lo que hace que seguramente saquen más películas. Por eso lo más valioso es entender que empezar de nuevo no significa dejar atrás lo que vivimos, sino aprender a seguir adelante con todo aquello que nos convirtió en quienes somos.
