Hola mis queridos amigos de Movies & TV Shows, estas dos ultimas semanas he estado tan full del trabajo y cosas de mamá, entre el nuevo inicio escolar de mi bebé eso me ha descontrolado toda mi agenda por decirlo así, porque me estoy adaptando a muchas cosas nuevas, nuevas cuentas en el trabajo, el curso de diseño grafico que estoy haciendo y todo eso me ha mantenido muy ocupada, tanto que se me hace difícil estar activa en la comunidad como me gustaría y como trato de hacerlo.

Y aunque se que estamos en ese mes de Halloween y acabo de ver el concurso, esta semana necesitaba descansar mi mente y buscar una película que me hiciera reír y relajarme un poco, y a pesar de que no estamos en época navideña, hay muchos lugares donde incluso se escuchan las gaitas típicas de esa época aquí en mi país, así que encontré esta propuesta con una de mis actrices favoritas Emilia Clarke que no podía dejar pasar.

Se llama Last Christmas una comedia romántica estrenada en el 2019, la verdad no sabía que esperar de esta cinta porque como ya he visto tantas películas con temática navideña, me esperaba algo muy predecible pero sin duda al ver su protagonista deje pasar ese estereotipo que tengo de esta clase de películas y me aventure a verla solo para dejarme sorprender por esta encantadora actriz y sin duda me lleve una grata sorpresa con un final muy inesperado y que jamás se me llego a pasar por la mente, así que quédate para que descubras de que se trata.

Además debo mencionar que el papel de Emilia es completamente distinto a lo que ya nos tiene acostumbrados. Se trata de la historia de una chica de nombre Katarina pero que por alguna razón desconocida se hace llamar "Kate", es una joven perdida sin rumbo fijo que trabaja como duende en una tienda de navidad durante todo el año, con su única dueña una señora proveniente de China que se hace llamar Santa.

Veremos a una Kate que vive con una maleta con la que siempre llega a su trabajo y termina durmiendo en diferentes casas, no tiene donde dormir porque se niega en vivir con sus padres por diferentes motivos que en el transcurso de la historia vas descubriendo. Mientras tanto Kate conoce a un misterioso chico que descubre afuera de la tienda observando algo en el cielo, por lo que decide ir a ver de que se trata.

Quisiera poder contar toda la historia pero le quitaría toda la gracia si no la has visto aún, pero lo que si te puedo compartir es mi opinión, esta película no es el típico romance que termina con un final feliz, la verdad es que el final como dije al inicio tiene un giro muy inesperado que te deja con un sabor amargo cargado de muchos aprendizajes, además que es algo que ni te imaginas que iba a pasar, creo que Emilia permitió que su encanto y dulzura (aunque su personaje es bastante negativo y deprimente), te atrape y te envuelva para quedarte y descubrir el final de la historia.
I wish I could tell the whole story but it would take away all the fun if you haven't seen it yet, but what I can share with you is my opinion, this movie is not the typical romance that ends with a happy ending, the truth is that the ending As I said at the beginning, it has a very unexpected twist that leaves you with a bitter taste loaded with many learnings, plus it is something that you would not even imagine would happen, I think that Emilia allowed her charm and sweetness (although her character is quite negative and depressing), catches you and wraps you up to stay and discover the end of the story.
También el personaje de Tom interpretado por el actor británico Henry Golding, hace un gran trabajo a darle vida a un hombre con un personalidad tan cálida y encantadora, un hombre que viaja siempre en bicicleta y que no utiliza teléfono móvil porque piensa que es una perdida de tiempo, creo que hace un gran contraste con la personalidad gris de Kate, que se burla de él al saber que trabaja en un refugio para indigentes.

También nos enseña lo reconfortante que es el poder ayudar a los demás sin ninguna razón de por medio, solo por el simple hecho de que es algo que nos hace sentir bien y es algo que cambia tanto la vida de otros como la nuestra y hace que el mundo sea un lugar un poco diferente, ese es un poder que todos tenemos en las manos, y por eso a Kate le costaba un poco al principio entender este gesto de amabilidad que Tom tenia con los demás, incluso con ella misma.

Esta película la volvería a ver encantada de la vida, una y mil veces, encontraremos una banda sonora con canciones del famoso cantante George Michael, además que Emilia te hará reír con su personaje y con las locuras que hace, algo que al inicio no entiendes el porque tiene esta actitud tan pesimista ya que es una chica súper talentosa para el canto, pero que en el transcurso de la historia conocerás las razones del porque su forma de actuar, algo que gracias a Tom descubre que no todo es como ella lo piensa y lo siente.
I would see this movie again, delighted with life, a thousand times, we will find a soundtrack with songs by the famous singer George Michael, plus Emilia will make you laugh with her character and with the crazy things she does, something you don't understand at first why she has such a pessimistic attitude since she is a super talented girl for singing, but that in the course of the story you will learn the reasons why her way of acting, something that thanks to Tom discovers that not everything is as she thinks and feel it.
Y el final de la historia seguro hará llorar a los más sentimentales, de verdad que me arrugo el corazón ese cambio drástico que le dieron y por eso mencione que no es el típico final feliz para nada. Una película que recomiendo con los ojos cerrados ver a cualquiera,
era realmente lo que necesitaba en ese momento así que cumplió con mis expectativas, y tal vez al inicio puede empezar con varios clichés pero te digo que debes darle la oportunidad porque estoy segura que te sorprenderá.

Y se me olvido mencionar a Emma Thompson quien hace de Madre de Kate, Petra una mujer croata que ¡Dios mío! aunque tiene cortas apariciones en la trama hace un papel de extranjera extraordinario, una mujer con depresión porque tuvo que huir de su país y piensa que en cualquier momento los correrán del Reino Unido solo por ser extranjeros, su trabajo es impecable sin duda y la forma en como habla con ese acento es maravilloso, si la vez en su idioma original lo podrás apreciar mejor y una cosa que debo mencionar y que siempre me ha gustado de Emilia es su peculiar forma de mover las cejas, creo que esto le da mucha más vida a sus personajes.

Although she has short appearances in the plot, she plays the role of an extraordinary foreigner, a woman with depression because she had to flee her country and thinks that at any moment they will be kicked out of the United Kingdom just for being foreigners, her work is undoubtedly impeccable and the way how she speaks with that accent is wonderful, if you see her in her original language you will be able to appreciate it better and one thing that I must mention and that I have always liked about Emilia is her peculiar way of moving her eyebrows, I think this gives her much more life to his characters.
