Hola mi gente linda de Hive, apreciados y queridos Hiver, hoy quiero compartirles un poco sobre esta adorable y a la ves triste película que de casualidad me encontré en la TV, nadie me la recomendó, ni la vi en Netflix, solo la vi por mera coincidencia en mi TV por cable y sencillamente me atrapo.
Hello my beautiful people of Hive, dear and dear Hiver, today I want to share with you a little bit about this lovely and yet sad movie that I happened to find on TV, no one recommended it to me, nor did I see it on Netflix, I just saw it by mere coincidence on my cable TV and it simply got me.
Esta película esta basada en la vida real de una chica llamada Philomena oriunda de Irlanda, a una corta edad se enamora de un chico y queda embarazada, pero en esa época de los años 40 la cultura era tan estricta sobre el tema de las relaciones antes del matrimonio, que su padre aborreció dicho acto y la condeno a vivir en una casa de monjas, donde terminaron entregando a su hijo en adopción sin su consentimiento.
This film is based on the real life of a girl named Philomena from Ireland, at a young age she falls in love with a boy and becomes pregnant, but at that time in the 40's the culture was so strict on the subject of relationships before marriage, that her father abhorred this act and condemned her to live in a nun's house, where they ended up giving her child up for adoption without her consent.
No me imagino el dolor que debió haber pasado esta pobre mujer, al ver que no pudo hacer nada para mantener a su hijo con ella, pero no le quedo de otra que resignarse y continuar con su vida, pero por vueltas del destino y a a una edad muy avanzada de 60 años, le cuenta a su hija sobre este acontecimiento en su vida y su hija consigue una oportunidad para ayudar a su mamá a encontrar a su hermano.
I can't imagine the pain this poor woman must have gone through, seeing that she couldn't do anything to keep her son with her, but she had no choice but to resign herself and continue with her life, but by twists of fate and at a very advanced age of 60 years old, she tells her daughter about this event in her life and her daughter gets a chance to help her mother find her brother.
Logra conseguir la atención de un periodista que se interesa por la historia, porque necesitaba trabajo y se compromete a ayudarla a encontrar a su hijo perdido, por lo que Philomena empieza un largo recorrido para conseguir a su hijo, empezando en la casa de las monjas, lo único que pudo encontrar fue el país a donde se llevaron, Estados Unidos por lo que acepto esa gran aventura, de realizar ese viaje y seguir los pasos de su hijo.
She manages to get the attention of a journalist who is interested in the story, because she needed work and agrees to help her find her lost son, so Philomena begins a long journey to get her son, starting at the nuns' house, the only thing she could find was the country where they were taken, the United States, so she accepted this great adventure, to make that trip and follow in the footsteps of her son.
De la mano del periodista comenzaron hacer la búsqueda con la poca información que tenían, encontrándose con un gran muro que hizo que el mundo de Philomena se derrumbara, pero a pesar de esa lamentable verdad, no se dio por vencida y quiso seguir averiguando si su hijo había logrado vivir una vida feliz y de comodidad.
Hand in hand with the journalist, they began to search with the little information they had, finding a great wall that made Philomena's world collapse, but despite this unfortunate truth, she did not give up and wanted to continue to find out if her son had managed to live a happy and comfortable life.
Para cualquier buena madre creo que es una de la cosas que más le deseamos a nuestros hijos, que vivan una vida feliz, y Philomena y el periodista siguieron los pasos de los amigos y familiares de adopción que formaran el circulo cercano de su hijo Anthony (ese era su nombre), con el único propósito de averiguar como había sido su vida, lo que termino llevándola nuevamente al principio de su búsqueda.
For any good mother I think it is one of the things we most want for our children, that they live a happy life, and Philomena and the journalist followed in the footsteps of her son Anthony's (that was his name) close circle of adopted friends and relatives, with the sole purpose of finding out what his life had been like, which ended up taking her back to the beginning of her search.
Llego nuevamente a Irlanda a la casa de las monjas, donde nos hacer ver el acto tan atroz que hizo la iglesia en esa época, donde la búsqueda incansable termino en la tumba de su hijo en Irlanda, una de las cosas que Philomena más anhelaba era que su hijo se acordara de ella, y que supiera de su existencia y del amor que ella tenia por él, cosa que termino confirmando en esa tumba.
She arrived again in Ireland to the nuns' house, where she made us see the atrocious act that the church did at that time, where the tireless search ended in the grave of her son in Ireland, one of the things that Philomena longed for the most was that her son remembered her, and that he knew of her existence and the love she had for him, which she ended up confirming in that grave.
Y como parte final de la historia, en la vida real Philomena trabajo en un proyecto para ayudar a tantas madres de esa época, jovencitas que como ella, fueron despojadas de sus hijos sin volver a saber más nunca de ellos, pero ella se encargo de apoyarlas a volver a reencontrarse de nuevo con ellos, y recuperar ese eterno amor, cosa que ella no tuvo la oportunidad de conseguir.
And as a final part of the story, in real life Philomena worked in a project to help so many mothers of that time, young girls who, like her, were deprived of their children without ever hearing from them again, but she was in charge of supporting them to meet them again, and regain that eternal love, which she did not have the opportunity to achieve.
Cuando me di cuenta que la historia era basada en la vida real de Philomena, el corazón se me rompió en muchos pedacitos, porque creo que no hay acto más cruel en el mundo, que lo que le hicieron a esa pobre jovencita en esa época, y tuvo que vivir toda una vida sin saber como estaría viviendo su hijo. Esto nos hacer ver que la realidad a veces supera la ficción.
When I realized that the story was based on the real life of Philomena, my heart broke into many little pieces, because I believe that there is no crueler act in the world than what was done to that poor young girl at that time, and she had to live a lifetime without knowing how her son would be living. This makes us see that reality sometimes surpasses fiction.
