Con una trama bastante ligera y simple el director nos muestra como fueron los inicios de Barack Obama en una de las Universidades de Nueva York, ver a un joven hombre de color llegando nuevo a la ciudad con su maleta en mano, viajando en tren y rodeado del todo el caos que envuelva esta ruidosa ciudad, donde llegará para instalarse y comenzar a forjar su destino e identidad.
With a rather light and simple plot the director shows us how Barack Obama's beginnings were in one of the New York Universities, seeing a young man of color arriving new to the city with his suitcase in hand, traveling by train and surrounded by all the chaos that surrounds this noisy city, where he will arrive to settle and begin to forge his destiny and identity.

Esta es una de esas películas que te puede dejar una interrogante en la cabeza, porque si buscas en internet verás que obtuvo casi un 80% de calificación por la critica profesional que es favorable para el film, pero que en lo personal para el televidente común no te deja mucha satisfacción, porque esperas ver mucha más filosofía, política, enseñanzas y ese tipo de cosas que se evidencian en un personaje como Barack Obama quien a cualquier despertaría la curiosidad de saber como fueron sus inicios.
This is one of those movies that can leave you with a question mark in your head, because if you look on the internet you will see that it got almost an 80% rating by the professional critics, which is favorable for the film, but personally for the common viewer it does not leave you much satisfaction, because you expect to see much more philosophy, politics, teachings and that kind of things that are evident in a character like Barack Obama who to anyone would arouse the curiosity to know how his beginnings were.
Tendrías que ser demasiado analítico y minucioso para entender este tipo de trama, porque en mi opinión personal la historia se pierde un poco, pareciera que no te enseñara casi nada de su vida, solo pequeños momentos donde tiene ese conflicto consigo mismo de no saber donde encajar porque no se siente parte de nada, solo hasta la parte final de la película donde vislumbra una respuesta a esta interminable lucha interna por saber a donde pertenece.
You would have to be too analytical and meticulous to understand this kind of plot, because in my personal opinion the story gets a little lost, it seems that it teaches you almost nothing of his life, only small moments where he has that conflict with himself of not knowing where he fits in because he doesn't feel part of anything, only until the final part of the film where he glimpses an answer to this endless internal struggle to know where he belongs.)
Aunque debo destacar la actuación de su protagonista Devon Terrell como Barack Obama, de la novia de Barry Charlotte interpretado por Anya Taylor-Joy y el de su madre Ann Dunham interpretado por Ashley Judd, en lo personal cada uno interpreta de una manera maravillosa a cada uno de sus personajes, brindándole ese brillo y semblanza que cada uno transmite en pantalla.
Also, I must highlight the performance of its protagonist Devon Terrell as Barack Obama, the new Barry Charlotte played by Anya Taylor-Joy and the performance of his mother Ann Dunham played by Ashley Judd, personally each one performs wonderfully every time. one of his characters, toasting and shining and semblance that each one transmits on screen.
No estoy segura si recomendaría esta historia, porque pienso que el director nos pudo brindar mucho más al tratarse de un personaje tan reconocido y admirado por muchos como Barack Obama, honestamente esta historia no fue de mi agrado, siento que falto mucho por dar.
I am not sure if I would recommend this story, because I think that the director could give us much more as he is a character as recognized and admired by many as Barack Obama, honestly this story was not to my liking, I feel that there is much left to give.
