Tenia mucho tiempo que no disfrutaba o mejor dicho, que no veía una película con el estilo de trama del Titanic, porque aunque soy fans de los doramas coreanos y todo ese romance diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados los latinos, hay días que me canso de lo mismo, porque seamos honestos los coreanos llegan hacer un poco, fríos, secos y distantes debido a su cultura, pero aunque suene extraño es lo que me encanta de sus tramas, pero esta semana estaba necesitando algo más al estilo de Jack y Rose nuestros protagonistas del Titanic, algo no tan empalagoso pero bonito y me encontré con una película rusa que me pareció hermosa "PATINES DE PLATA" estrenada en el año 2020.

Synopsis
San Petersburgo se transforma en un lugar maravilloso cada invierno, convirtiendo sus canales de ríos en esplendidas pistas de hielo naturales, para patinadores y mercaderes. Matvey es un joven que trabaja como repartidor para ganarse la vida junto a su padre un anciano farolero, quienes viven de forma muy honrada, hasta que un día Matvey es despedido de su trabajo y por cosas del destino termina uniéndose a un grupo de ladrones carteristas.
St. Petersburg is transformed into a wonderful place every winter, turning its river canals into splendid natural ice rinks for skaters and merchants. Matvey is a young man who works as a delivery boy to make a living with his father, an elderly lamplighter, who lives a very honest life, until one day Matvey is fired from his job and by fate ends up joining a group of pickpocket thieves.

Plot
Eran finales del siglo XIX en Rusia, específicamente en la ciudad de San Petersburgo, donde aún la mujer no tenia derecho a estudiar sin el permiso de sus esposos y padres, pero que tampoco era muy bien visto por los hombres, una época donde no existía la electricidad como la conocemos hoy en día. Matvey es un joven humilde que trabaja entregando pedidos de una famosa panadería, y su forma de transporte por la ciudad eran unos patines de plata que le había heredado su padre, y gracias a los ríos congelados de la ciudad era una forma perfecta de transportarse para llegar mucho más rápido a su destino.
It was the late nineteenth century in Russia, specifically in the city of St. Petersburg, where women still did not have the right to study without the permission of their husbands and fathers, but it was not very well regarded by men, a time when electricity as we know it today did not exist. By mistake Matvey meets Alisa, a young bourgeois girl of the upper class, daughter of a high-ranking official who feels imprisoned and deprived of the freedom of free thought, a bold and self-confident woman eager to learn about science and willing to do anything to be able to study at one of the renowned universities of St. Petersburg.
Hasta que un día Alisa decidida ir a cumplir su sueño, y le pide a Matvey su apoyo para hacerlo y es hay cuando comienza a nacer un bonito romance entre estos jovenes de diferentes clases sociales, mientras Matvey sigue con su trabajo de carterista y mejorando sus habilidades, poco a poco va conociendo a Alisa y se va dando cuenta de lo que hace esta mal, pero ¿Podrán vivir un romance estos chicos de mundos completamente diferentes en una época tan opresiva para las mujeres?.

Es una historia que honestamente se gano mi corazón, aunque tal vez el romance de Romeo y Julieta que nos venden no es algo nuevo ni original, pero la idea que implemento su director Michael Lockshin haciendo una adaptación de la novela "Hans Brinker, or The Silver Skates" nos trae esta maravillosa propuesta de patinaje para disfrutar el fin de semana, así que como dije al inicio si te gusto Titanic estoy segura que te gustara esta helada historia.
It is a story that honestly won my heart, although perhaps the romance of Romeo and Juliet that they sell us is not something new or original, but the idea implemented by its director Michael Lockshin making an adaptation of the novel "Hans Brinker, or The Silver Skates" brings us this wonderful proposal of skating to enjoy the weekend, so as I said at the beginning if you liked Titanic I'm sure you will like this icy story.
Me encanto la propuesta, porque hasta ahora no había visto nada parecido sobre patines, mucho menos sobre patines en la época de 1900 sobre los canales congelados de la ciudad de San Petersburgo para mi es una imagen y un paisaje maravilloso, la idea me pareció hermosa y por eso la quise ver, y más cuando vemos parte de la acción de los chicos sobre patines en el mercado en medio de la gente, sobretodo porque yo nunca en la vida he patinado.

La ambientación me pareció mágica, llena de carruajes, y el gélido clima que te hace sentir el fuerte frio que ves en todas las escenas y no me imagino como hicieron las pistas de patinaje naturales, aunque la verdad puedo decir que no pasará hacer una obra de arte o una joya del cine, pero es un film aceptable más para disfrutarlo que analizarlo, porque no hay mucho que analizar, no tiene un guion complejo ni profundo, la actuación de los chicos es sin duda algo ligera, quiero decir nada que sobrepase la pantalla pero que aceptas con agrado y que se adapta a la historia que quieren contar, así que no habrá nada que supere las expectativas más allá de los patines.
The setting seemed magical to me, full of carriages, and the icy climate that makes you feel the strong cold that you see in all the scenes and I can't imagine how they made the natural skating rinks, although the truth I can say that it will not happen to make a work of art or a jewel of cinema, but it is an acceptable film more to enjoy it than to analyze it, because there is not much to analyze, it does not have a complex or deep script, the performance of the kids is certainly something light, I mean nothing that exceeds the screen but that you accept with pleasure and that fits the story they want to tell, so there will be nothing that exceeds expectations beyond the skates.
Yo la recomendaría para alguien que le pase como me paso a mi, que quiera ver una linda historia llena de aventura, fantasía, época y algo de melodrama, porque me hizo sentir lo mismo que me pasa con el Titanic pero con una historia presentada en otro ambiente, además que es mi primera película Rusa, me pareció que el personaje del Jefe de la pandilla de carteristas Alex le dio algo de fuerza a la historia por ser un chico con mentalidad revolucionaria y por ultimo quiero dejar mis comentarios de lo que me encanto y lo que no.
I would recommend it for someone who is like me, who wants to see a nice story full of adventure, fantasy, period and some melodrama, because it made me feel the same thing that happens to me with the Titanic but with a story presented in another environment, plus it is my first Russian film, I thought that the character of the head of the gang of pickpockets Alex gave some strength to the story for being a guy with revolutionary mentality and finally I want to leave my comments on what I loved and what I did not.

Me hubiera encantado conocer un poco más sobre el pasado de Matvey y sus padres, porque solo vemos a su papá pero nunca te mencionan a su madre.
Conocer un poco más sobre el pasado de sus amigos carteristas, y poder saber porque llegaron hacer ladrones de carteras.
Que el final hubiera sido algo más original y diferente, porque ya es algo que hemos visto en otras producciones.
I would have loved to know a little more about Matvey's past and his parents, because we only see his father but they never mention his mother.
