I was finally able to watch what I think is the best movie in recent months and the one that should have won the Oscar for Best Picture. It is beautiful looking, the way it was shot makes it very different and a little bit special even though it is not the first "1-shot" movie.
It has intense and dramatic war moments, and it was a great portray of the type of missions young soldiers had in WW1. The plot is actually very basic, the most attractive aspect of the film is certainly the cinematography.
The story is about 2 young soldiers who are tasked to deliver an important message to another group of soldiers who are going to attack the Germans very soon. The British discovered this was a trap and if they proceed with the attack a lot of British soldiers are going to die.

After receiving this order, these 2 young men begin their dangerous journey where they can easily get killed by enemies, bombs, mines, among many other dangers. Plus there is also the stress of knowing that if they don't succeed, a lot of their fellow soldiers are going to get slaughtered.
The film is a real technical feat, even though the main actor did a good job playing a young soldier the real stars of this production were the people in charge camera and the sound who made this masterpiece possible.
You don't need to be a fan of war movies to enjoy this film, simply because of the beautiful shots, it should be enough to be worthy of your time. If you do enjoy movies about war then it is clear you should take the time to enjoy this film as soon as you can.

The best
- Fantastic and epic movie. It should have won Best Picture instead of Parasite.
- Best cinematography of the year.
- Harsh war scenes that looked very real and authentic. It was really awesome.
- It is filmed in a way that makes it seem it is only 1 shot.
The worst
- One of the tragic moments happened due to having dangerous empathy towards the enemy. I am not sure adopting this attitude towards your enemies is safe in times of war.
- There are also too many fortunate coincidences in the story which seemed implausible (rat, milk, plane).
