Yesterday I saw the new movie with Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, and Margot Robbie and it was fine but I didn't find it as shocking as other biographical movies based on real-life dramas. The story is based on the sexual harassment from Fox's CEO who had the tendency to make indecent proposals and comments to his female staff.
As it is usually the case with this type of powerful man, they feel confident that no one can stop them nor their misbehaviors, but on a free society, information tends to finds its way to the public, and when this happens in cases of abuse, consequences end up coming very rapidly and fiercely.
I decided to watch this film mainly because of its cast, but the truth is that it wasn't such a big deal after all. The movie is ok, but very forgettable nonetheless. The drama isn't that intense, and the performances were not spectacular, just good.

With so many cases of pedophiles and sexual harassment in Hollywood, I wonder why they decided to produce a film about this topic using the Fox case? I think there is more controversial and potentially more shocking information in the cases of Jeffrey Epstein or Harvey Weinstein. Films about those cases would have probably been more entertaining and intriguing.
I didn't feel much intensity even in the difficult parts where improper behavior was being displayed. The 3 main actresses failed to properly involve the viewers in the seriousness of this drama. I felt a bit disengaged throughout the film. Nevertheless, I still think it is a good drama with important information that people should be aware of.
The only people that could enjoy this film are fans of any of the 3 main actresses and people who have drama has their favorite genre. I would those that decide to watch this film doing it without expecting any groundbreaking drama flick/performances. It is just a bit better than average. My expectations were obviously high thanks to its cast but it is not that good.

The best
- Charlize Theron was totally transformed to look like the real-life Megyn Kelly. The people in charge of this makeup even won an Oscar award.
- Above average drama with a top-notch cast but the whole isn't greater than the sum of its parts.
The worst
- I felt like they tried to portray Fox News as an evil organization, which is very silly and immature.
- Too many cliches and stereotyping of conservatives and people who like Fox News, which is again very silly and immature.
