If you don't like black comedy or politically incorrect jokes, then don't watch this movie. But if you happen to love that type of comedy, then Borat is one awesome film. This character became very popular more than one decade ago when the first Borat film was released. Borat is a journalist from a little-known country named Kazakhstan.

I can see why people from that country feel offended by these films, the country is portrayed as a totally backward place and with very retarded people who don't know anything about the modern world. Despite the fact, it is super funny and will probably make most people laugh their asses off.

The film begins by informing the viewer about what happened to Borat after the events in the first film, he was very mistreated in his country for several years but he now has a new opportunity to bring glory to Kazakhstan by facilitating a friendship between the new American president, McDonald Trump, and the leader of Kazakhstan, whatever his name is. In order to allow for this friendship to happen, he is tasked to bring an important present to an American strongman and deliver it personally.

There is a new important character in this movie and it is the addition of Borat's only daughter. She is equally stupid or maybe even more stupid than her father and family, but she will learn a lot during her visit to America. Most of the funny scenes include her so this movie is as much hers as it is Borat's.

The type of jokes you will encounter are sexist jokes, antisemitic jokes, and political jokes. Its events happen in the course of 2020 because the pandemic and quarantine are very important for the plot and as expected, it makes fun of a lot of politicians from both parties. No one is saved when Borat is hunting for jokes.

I was expecting the film to be even funnier but I enjoyed it nonetheless. As I mentioned before, this type of comedy is not for very sensible people, those without a thick skin can easily be offended by the dialogues and Borat's occurrences throughout the film, so have that in mind if you decide to check it out. Surprisingly, it has a nice twist at the end that most people won't see it coming.

The best

  • It will make most people laugh at least 1 time and Borat's daughter was amazing as well.
  • It provides a type of comedy that's not very common.

The worst

  • Not as explosive and authentic as the first film but I think this happened because I already knew what to expect.
  • Around half of the film is about making jokes about the same topic over and over again.
