Since season 1 this series has had extremely epic moments regarding the titans and all the chaos they can cause, and there has also been a lot of great twists and surprises along the way.

Attack on Titan is an anime series where humanity has been almost decimated by evil beings known as the titans, who are like huge humans but with different sizes, some of them are extremely huge like skyscrapers and others are as tall as a regular 3 or 4 story building. The majority of titans act like retards and the only thing they do is running around trying to catch humans to eat them, but some titans are smart.
The series begins with a chaotic attack by titans who breaks havoc inside a city where that was protected by strong walls. The lives of everyone inside are affected but not all of them die. There are 3 main characters in this series who were just kids when this attack happened, Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert. Throughout the series, we will see their growth from just vulnerable kids, to then start training to become good fighters, and ultimately, in season 4 they are all already adults.
At the beginning of the series, we thought titans were evil but that's not really the case, one of the surprises that took place in season 1 was that titans are actually humans. Some of them can get transformed into a titan anytime they decide and others, the ones that act like retards, got transformed by forces outside their control.
One of the best epic moments in the first season of the series is the first time we see a titan defending the main characters and when it is revealed which human was inside that titan that was just so awesome. Not only could titans defend the "good guys" but somehow Eren wasn't dead, he was alive and had the ability to turn himself into a titan.

Another thing every viewer believed at the beginning of the series, was that humanity was completely decimated thanks to the titans. This turned out to be a lie, the world is completely fine and only the people who lived on the island where the events take place believed that.
The origin of the titans is still not properly explained, I mean it is told that a person in the past came into contact with something magical that gave her the power of the titans, but a more lengthy explanation would be better. There are conflicts between the population of the island and that of a nearby nation on the continent that spans from centuries ago. This series has a lot of fantasy elements so this explains the fake version of the world the people on this island believed, their memory has been wiped out and only their political elite knew the truth since the beginning.
At the end of season 3, the main characters discover the truth and realize who were the ones causing so much torment and destruction in their lives. They finally identify their number 1 enemy, which is the nation known as Marley that resides in the continent.

I haven't read the manga and I have only watched the anime so I had no idea what was going to happen in season 4. I thought we were going to continue with the main characters where we left off in season 3 but that was not the case.
Season 4 starts in Marley, the rival nation. They all know the true nature of the titans because this is taught to them since childhood. They idolized the military and one of the main goals for the youngsters is to be chosen as a titan inheritor, which means they will eventually be able to turn themselves into one of the special titans.
I wasn't sure how much time has passed since the end of season 3 but it has been a good while. I even had trouble identifying some of the main characters when they finally appeared on the screen. We see how the people of Marley live their lives, and eventually, things get intense. The season begins in Marley but ends back in the island we have all known since the beginning of the series.

La temporada 4 comienza en Marley, la nación rival. Todos conocen la verdadera naturaleza de los titanes porque esto se les enseña desde la infancia. I was expecting this to be the final episodes because the show itself says final season in the beginning, but I guess this season has 2 parts and these were just the first episodes of the season, or they plan to release a movie in the future to properly finish the story. The fact is, after 16 episodes of season 4 there is still a lot of things going on, and 2 important characters are in very challenging situations.

The animation was top-notch as always. I especially liked some of the scenes of the first major attack, I even included a screenshot showing the colossal titan and how powerful he seems. The action is easily among the best I have ever seen in an animated production.
This series has always been very epic in its action scenes so this was no surprise. Something that did change was the emotional moments, unlike the first 2 seasons where we had a lot of touching moments, this time there were none of them. Some characters have grown cold and if we think about it, this shouldn't be surprising. There were good moments involving epic fights, but nothing emotional about it.

Attack on Titan is one of the best anime series of all time. It is a well-developed story that covers a lot of years in the lives of the main character. The conflict is complex enough to justify a lengthy series, and there are twists in every season that will keep the viewers interested.
I will be looking forward to the new episodes/movie about the series but I have already a good idea about what could happen and what type of ending we might get. I had no idea what could happen once season 3 finished but now that's not the case. If you like action and anime, you should certainly watch this series.
Esperaba que estos fueran los episodios finales porque el programa en sí dice la temporada final al principio, pero supongo que esta temporada tiene 2 partes y estos fueron solo los primeros episodios de la temporada, o planean lanzar una película en el futuro para terminar correctamente la historia. El hecho es que, después de 16 episodios de la temporada 4, todavía suceden muchas cosas y 2 personajes importantes se encuentran en situaciones muy desafiantes.

Attack on Titan es una de las mejores series de anime de todos los tiempos. Es una historia bien desarrollada que cubre muchos años en la vida de los personajes principales. El conflicto es lo suficientemente complejo como para justificar una serie larga, y hay giros en cada temporada que mantendrán a los espectadores interesados.
Esperaré con ansias los nuevos episodios/películas sobre la serie, pero ya tengo una buena idea sobre lo que podría suceder y qué tipo de final podríamos obtener. No tenía idea de lo que podría suceder una vez que termina la temporada 3, pero ahora ese no es el caso. Si te gusta la acción y el anime, sin duda deberías ver esta serie.
