The most important movie release of these past few days was clearly Godzilla vs Kong, the fight between the 2 most important titans. I remember years ago when watching a previous film about King Kong, that in the end, the movie showed a bunch of other titans who looked very powerful too. When I saw that ending, I was expecting to see new films involving those monsters.

But instead of making standalone films with each of them, info about them was just briefly shown at the beginning of this movie, and only to inform the viewer that the final battle was going to be between Godzilla and Kong. The other monsters have already been defeated.

At the beginning of the film, we will see Godzilla doing a vicious attack on some type of advanced facility. The attack appears to have no justification and is just Godzilla going crazy. But eventually, we will understand what was really going on and why Godzilla was acting like that.

El estreno de la película más importante de estos últimos días fue claramente Godzilla vs Kong, la pelea entre los 2 titanes más importantes. Recuerdo que hace años, cuando vi una película anterior sobre King Kong, al final, la película mostraba a un montón de otros titanes que también parecían muy poderosos. Cuando vi ese final, esperaba ver nuevas películas que involucraran a esos monstruos.

Pero en lugar de hacer películas independientes con cada uno de ellos, alguna información sobre ellos se mostró brevemente al comienzo de esta película, y solo para informar al espectador que la batalla final sería entre Godzilla y Kong. Los otros monstruos ya han sido derrotados.

Unlike Godzilla, Kong isn't completely free to do whatever he likes. He is being monitored by humans under a huge construction and seems to have a boring life for the most part. As usual, he tends to show empathy and understanding towards humans and is much smarter than a regular gorilla.

The silly characters in this film are 2 teenagers, one of them played by Millie Bobby Brown, the girl from Stranger Things, and the other is played by Julian Dennison, who played the villain in the movie The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two. Despite their silliness, they, along with a character named Bernie, are going to be extremely important in saving the world from a potential tyrannical order.

This movie isn't really about the fight between the 2 titans, but rather about the struggle between preserving a well-balanced dynamic, and disrupting it with something that could result in horrible consequences for the entire world, but this threat is hidden for the most part and is revealed towards the end of the film. A comparison could be made with the movie Batman vs Superman because it wasn't really about the fight between the 2 superheroes but ultimately about saving humanity from a new evil force.

A diferencia de Godzilla, Kong no es completamente libre de hacer lo que quiera. Está siendo monitoreado por humanos bajo una enorme construcción y parece tener una vida aburrida en su mayor parte. Como de costumbre, tiende a mostrar empatía y comprensión hacia los humanos y es mucho más inteligente que un gorila normal.

The main attraction for this film is obviously seeing how the 2 titans fight with each other and there are going to be several cool moments where these fights get intense. The fights could be distributed in 3 rounds throughout the film, and by the end of it, it becomes clear which one between the 2 titans is more powerful. CGI was excellent throughout the film, the fights looked great, and there is a new mysterious place that is explored for the first time and helps explain the origins of these titans.

Something I didn't enjoy was the performance from the character played by Rebecca Hall, and the fact that some scenes with the 2 teen characters really reduced the seriousness of this story. In fact, when the movie is at its most intense moment, a very silly solution is figured out by these characters and that's how everything turns out good. These characters were only necessary for this moment and this moment alone. I would have preferred a more thoughtful solution.

When it comes to films like Godzilla vs Kong, everyone already knows what to expect so there is nothing to clear up about it. This is a satisfactory film, with awesome fights between the titans and also a few cool surprises that most people won't see coming. It has a few failed attempts at comedy but the film is enjoyable enough nonetheless.

La principal atracción de esta película es, obviamente, ver cómo los 2 titanes luchan entre sí y habrá varios momentos geniales en los que estas peleas se volverán intensas. Las peleas podrían distribuirse en 3 rondas a lo largo de la película, y al final de la misma, queda claro cuál entre los 2 titanes es más poderoso. El CGI fue excelente durante toda la película, las peleas lucieron geniales y hay un nuevo lugar misterioso que se explora por primera vez y ayuda a explicar los orígenes de estos titanes.

Algo que no disfruté fue la actuación del personaje interpretado por Rebecca Hall, y el hecho de que algunas escenas con los 2 personajes adolescentes realmente redujeron la seriedad de esta historia. De hecho, cuando la película está en su momento más intenso, estos personajes descubren una solución muy tonta y así es como todo sale bien. Estos personajes solo eran necesarios para este momento y solo para este momento. Yo hubiera preferido una solución más reflexiva.

Cuando se trata de películas como Godzilla vs Kong, todos ya saben qué esperar, por lo que no hay nada que aclarar al respecto. Esta es una película satisfactoria, con increíbles peleas entre los titanes y también algunas sorpresas geniales que la mayoría de la gente no verá venir. Tiene algunos intentos fallidos de comedia, pero la película es lo suficientemente agradable de todos modos.
