This is the second Spanish series I have seen in recent years, the first one being Money Heist, and I am happy to say it was just as enjoyable and entertaining. This is a drama story that begins with a team of about 6 police officers trying to evict a large group of around 30 people for not paying their rent.
Several times the leader of this group of police officers contacted his superiors to request help in the form of more officers and to confirm if the eviction needed to take place, and the orders were always very clear. These intensive moments happen in the first episode and it is easy to realize how these situations can get very stressful.
There are a lot of fights and discussions which cause this eviction to have a tragic end. It was easy to see it coming. From this point forward, the show will focus on the personal lives of these police officers, and how they are handling the huge problem they now found themselves into.
After watching the first episode, most viewers will probably think this is a show about police drama and the difficulty of maintaining order when facing highly emotional and uncontrollable people. However, there is a deeper plot that will slowly be uncovered throughout the 6 episodes this series lasts.
The performance from the cast was spectacular. Of the 7 main characters, I only recognized Raúl Arévalo, who played the police officer Diego Lopez. The remaining of the main cast was unknown to me but they were awesome in their roles. The sensations after watching this series were similar to the ones I felt watching Money Heist. Maybe this one is not as epic but it is almost as entertaining.
This show is a top-notch drama. There are twists, very intensive moments, a little bit of violence, and pretty much everything that can make a drama something worth watching. It will be impossible to see the bigger twists coming so there can always be an unexpected surprise in the next episode.
The best
- Excellent acting.
- Very well written plot.
- Realistic drama.
The worst
- Maybe a few discussions between the main characters were excessive.
- Despite being very meticulous, one of the main characters commits a silly mistake when sensing danger in the last episode.
