I don't watch too many movies from Argentina, and horror is, in my opinion, the most challenging genre because there is always the risk of making people laugh instead of being scary, which is the worst that can happen to a horror movie.
However, I saw this movie was getting very nice reviews and decided to give it a try to see if it was worth it. I am pleased to say this horror movie is well worth the time. There aren't well-known actors, although the truth is I only know a handful of actors from Argentina, despite this fact, the entire movie is highly entertaining with performances that surpass those from the last Insidious movie.
The story is about the presence of some type of evil that breaks havoc on a specific place, looking to harm people for some unknown reason. You can see it as simply another ghost story, but the short explanations about what is happening that are shared on a brief scene point to another direction.

There is for sure a supernatural element, and a lot of terrifying scenes with good sounds to make your bones tremble. Each of the characters has an interesting personality, it is a well-designed cast with few actors and actresses but enough for the story to be smooth and be successful as a horror film.
The movie doesn't cheapen itself with silly jokes or funny lines like a lot of productions are doing nowadays, it is a horror movie and it only focuses on building up the story and providing the scares. It does a good job at what it intends to be.
The "monsters" reminded me of those from the video game Outcast, especially at the beginning of the movie where we see one of these beings tormenting a poor fellow in a similar way to what we saw in Paranormal activity. However, the nature of these beings is completely different. They seem to feed on humans in some strange way but it isn't explained what it is they actually need.
I would love to see a part 2 that goes deeper into these mysteries. If you enjoy horror I am pretty sure you will like this movie.

The best
- Original horror scenes and scare triggers.
- Intriguing plot that sucks you in.
- Leaves the possibility open for a sequel, this doesn't mean the movie isn't complete. At 1 hour and 25 minutes it could have been longer, but it feels right and the story is satisfactory.
The worst
- I would have enjoyed a little bit more of explanation and exploration regarding the origin of the inexplicable events. A character gives a little basic explanation but no one knows exactly what is going on.
