I just finished watching the second season of my favorite superhero series and it was exactly as I was expecting it to be. With excellent writing, acting, dialogues, and proper violence. I discovered this series by chance last year. Usually, I don't watch superhero series but this turned out to be very different than the norm and super entertaining.
In this series, the supes aren't exemplary human beings like the superheroes from Marvel or DC. They are portrayed in a much more realistic way, they take advantage of their special powers, and just like politicians, they are double-faced, hypocrites, liars, and manipulative people who are only looking to profit themselves. The thing that fascinates me the most about this show is the perverted way in which the supes are portrayed. This has never been done on this scale and it is simply awesome.
The main superheroes work with a massive corporation called Vought, and they have teams of people who are marketing and PR experts working for them to improve their public image and exploit their popularity to earn as much money as possible.
They do help people sometimes though, but not because they care about them but simply because they know it will be profitable for them to do so. Being super powerful, these supes also have a dark side and they take a lot of measures to keep this properly hidden.

In this season we can see how the group of humans that decided to go against the superheroes corruption and abuses are managing to stay alive. They are in big troubles after the events of season 1 so suffering from a lot of complications was totally expected.
Even though the superheroes are all corrupt and hypocrites, that doesn't mean they get along with each other. There are serious issues between them but they try to appear united to the public so as to not destroy their good image. In this season there are going to be a lot of problems between the main superheroes. The way they treat each other is similar to the way I believe politicians treat each other as well, there is blackmail, lies, intimidation, and all sort of bad behavior.
The show is extremely entertaining, it is funny at times with tons of good black humor, it has a lot of violence which is completely expected since this is a superhero show, there are a few twists too but it is not a kids show because the dialogues are for adults and there are several sex scenes as well.
The evens of this season are mainly about the inner struggles in the superhero corporation and how the issues between them and the actions of the group of humans trying to bring them down are starting to debilitate the supes structural integrity. I believe next season should be the most chaotic one.
My expectations were high and the series delivered nicely I wasn't as amazed compared to when I watched season 1 but this is certainly one of the most enjoyable shows out there. If you enjoy black humor, cool action, and the idea of perverted superheroes sound attractive to you make sure to watch this unique show.

The best
- Extremely entertaining and original. This is certainly one of my favorite series out there.
- New superheroes with cool powers were introduced.
- The story remains interesting. I am looking forward to season 3.
- The use of black humor is splendid.
The worst
- The beginning wasn't as awesome as the beginning of season 1. Last year I couldn't stop watching the series, this year it wasn't as intense but maybe this happened because I already knew the type of show this was so I was less surprised.
- In the final episodes there is a superhero who cannot fly and somehow this person managed to appear at the right time on 2 different occasions.
