It has been a while since the last time I saw a crime-action film so I was in the mood for one. The Drop was released a few years ago and despite having 2 popular actors I have never seen this film before. The story is about 2 men who are in charge of a bar that's used by dangerous criminals as a place for drops.

These men need to take care of everything in the bar, attend to the customers every day and be available when it is time to receive the drops. Problems begin when 2 masked men break into the bar and steal the money at gunpoint. Leaving no choice for the guys working in the bar to just give them everything.

Ha pasado un tiempo desde la última vez que vi una película de acción y crimen, así que estaba de humor para una. The Drop se estrenó hace unos años y, a pesar de tener 2 actores populares, nunca antes había visto esta película. La historia trata sobre 2 hombres que están a cargo de un bar que utilizan los delincuentes peligrosos como lugar de entrega.

Estos hombres necesitan encargarse de todo en la barra, atender a los clientes todos los días y estar disponibles cuando sea el momento de recibir las entregas. Los problemas comienzan cuando 2 hombres enmascarados irrumpen en el bar y roban el dinero a punta de pistola. No dejan otra opción a los chicos que trabajan en el bar sino simplemente darles todo.

If the robbery wasn't enough of a problem, things get worse when the mobsters that own the bar demand the money back. Since they are important criminals, they are obviously not happy losing money to 2-bit robbers, and their frustration is palpable. The identities and the mastermind behind this robbery are unknown at the beginning but everything will come to light at some point.

This isn't the only drama in the story. One of the guys who works at the bar, the one played by Tom Hardy, ends up discovering a dog inside a trash can while walking in the neighborhood. This will allow him to meet a girl, the owner of the house who has no idea the dog was there, but also, this will force him to deal with a weird and unstable guy that clearly has violent tendencies.

Si el robo no fue un problema suficiente, las cosas empeoran cuando los mafiosos dueños del bar exigen la devolución del dinero. Dado que son delincuentes importantes, obviamente no están contentos de perder dinero a manos de ladrones insignificantes, y su frustración es palpable. Las identidades y el cerebro detrás de este robo se desconocen al principio, pero todo saldrá a la luz a su debido momento.

Este no es el único drama de la historia. Uno de los chicos que trabaja en el bar, el interpretado por Tom Hardy, termina descubriendo un perro dentro de un bote de basura mientras camina por el vecindario. Esto le permitirá conocer a una chica, la dueña de la casa que no tiene idea de que el perro estaba allí, pero también lo obligará a lidiar con un tipo extraño e inestable que claramente tiene tendencias violentas.

These 2 dramas will get intertwined with each other as the story keeps advancing, and the final result will be full of violence as expected. Nevertheless, the violent scenes felt controlled and not crazy-like. I liked the way every character was portrayed, but the story was quite simple and probably easy to forget.

If you are in the mood for a good crime movie I would recommend checking this one out. The story is decent and believable, the performances were all very convincing, and for me, it was a satisfactory watching. I might have preferred something even more intense, but all in all, it was all right.

Estos 2 dramas se entrelazarán entre sí a medida que avanza la historia, y el resultado final estará lleno de violencia como se esperaba. Sin embargo, las escenas violentas se sintieron controladas y no locas. Me gustó la forma en que se retrató a cada personaje, pero la historia era bastante simple y probablemente fácil de olvidar.

Si estás de humor para una buena película policial, te recomiendo que eches un vistazo a esta. La historia es decente y creíble, las actuaciones fueron muy convincentes y, para mí, fue una observación satisfactoria. Podría haber preferido algo aún más intenso, pero en general, estuvo bien.
