Last night I finished watching The Umbrella Academy season 2 and it was all right. After watching the first one I concluded this show competed against Doom Patrol and that in my opinion was a little bit better. I still think the same after watching season 2.
This time, the story was about preventing the horrible events that "5" has been warning since he appeared in season 1. This event appears to be impossible to prevent no matter what the siblings do, it is like they had a black cloud hanging over their heads everywhere they go and the event itself can manifest itself in several ways and in various years.
We will also see some of the siblings much more in control of their powers, especially Vanya but Diego will also prove he is more capable than what the viewer thought at the beginning of the season.
Luther, on the other hand, had a subtle transition and he was portrayed several times as a dumb character. Similar to Joey's evolution in the Friends series, he wasn't dumb at the beginning but progressively he was portrayed dumber and dumber as the series advanced. Now, I don't think Luther will become a dumb character but this was a new facet that was used to make some situations funnier.

I won't say spoilers, only that at the beginning of the season we will see how these siblings try to survive on their own for an extensive period of time, and what some of them, such as Klaus, accomplished is actually very funny. I have to say this Klaus character didn't convince me at the beginning of the show, he is always present in the scenes I dislike the most. However, after season 2 I think I am tolerating this character much better and even enjoying some of his occurrences.
There are major surprises in this season regarding their adoptive father and honestly, the ending left me even more interested in a potential season 3. After 2 seasons the show still feels fresh and dynamic enough to have sufficient creative fuel to produce a new entertaining season.
If you are looking for a coolish series that require little concentration and doesn't take itself too serious then this might be a good choice. I don't tend to watch this type of series though, so the only similar I know of is Doom Patrol and The Umbrella Academy is a bit better and less tiresome.

The best
- Entertaining series although sometimes it can be annoying.
The worst
- I have the feeling this series is going to be milked a lot.
- Extremely silly scenes are still included.
