Last night I discovered this cool little-known movie with a scifi plot revolving around time. In the beginning, I thought the main character was going to be a middle-aged professor that is exploring a cave system looking for some hippies that got lost years ago. When the professor doesn't return, his students, including a couple of younger teenage kids, decided to go a lookout for him.
It is this group of younger peeps the main characters in the story. What they don't know is that the professor, just before returning to the caves, saw something really crazy inside one of the caves that completely changed his understanding of the situation. This is why he told the students to go home because their job was finished. Nothing could be further from the truth and that didn't stop the students to go look for him a couple of days later.
I have seen several scifi productions about time but none like this one. The fact they used a cave makes the setting similar to the origins of Dark's plot, but that's about it. This film is very different from Dark. I would like to give a little bit more information about what is going on with time on this film but I think it is best to discover this part of the film by watching it. The "surprise" the professor discover at the beginning of the film was a cool concept and the same can be said about the entire plot.
The thing I hated the most about this movie was the dumb dialogue from so many of its characters. The scriptwriter sucked big time while creating some lines but that didn't stop the plot from being interesting and entertaining enough. It explores a scifi approach regarding the time that is 100% original.
Once the students arrive at the cave is when the crappy dialogues begin. But rest assured, things get seriously interesting after some time, so if you start to roll your eyes just hang in there and you will be rewarded.
If you like scifi movies regarding time, make sure to check this one out. This isn't a masterpiece as Dark or other well-known productions of the same type, but the plot is one I haven't seen before, it is original and well-thought. Although the execution has a lot of issues due to the amateur nature of its young cast members. But despite that, this film is well worth the watch!

- Some dialogues with the younger characters were cheap, generic, and lame.
