I have been waiting to binge-watch WandaVision for several weeks, and this past Friday the last episode came out so I was finally able to watch the series just the way I like, with all the episodes already available.

This series takes place after the events of the last Avengers movies, when fighting against Thanos Vision ends up getting killed by the villain. He and Wanda had become close prior to this death, and this was the third time in Wanda's life where grief took over her emotions. The first time when her parents were killed in a bombing, the second time when her brother is killed fighting against Ultron, and not the third time when her lover Vision, is killed fighting against Thanos.

But somehow, when we begin to watch WandaVision, Vision is alive, and not only that, they aren't living in the present but in the past, specifically in the 50s. I already knew the first episodes were going to be completely different than the typical Marvel superhero production. These episodes are black and white and they try to replicate the classic style of sitcoms.

I wasn't very excited about watching 2 superhero characters doing some comedy but it was fine. What's important is that this comedy and happy feeling are actually an important part of the plot, and aren't there just to diversify the series' genres. There is an important reason that explains why everything is funny and looks silly in the first few episodes.

Slowly but surely, the story will become more and more serious and a proper understanding of what's really happening will eventually be reached by all the viewers. In the beginning, the series is a comedy with glimpses of an important mystery. As the episodes advance, the story will get back to the usual genre of superhero action.

There is a very important twist in the story that will reveal who's the villain this time, I really wasn't expecting that twist and it was a nice surprise that added some excitement into the show. There will be excellent action scenes, not as epic as those in the Avengers movie, but very cool nonetheless.

This is absolutely a must-watch for every fan of Marvel. There are a lot of references to previous Avengers films, so it is better if you have already watched them, if you haven't these references will be important spoilers. All in all, it had good but ultimately very silly comedy, an intriguing mystery, a good twist, and great action sequences. It is fair to say the series met its high expectations.

The best

  • Excellent addition to the Marvel universe.
  • It was interesting to know the true capabilities of one of the main superheroes of the show.
  • Good twist with that surprising villain.

The worst

  • The silliness at the beginning was boring but it all made sense in the end.

I have uploaded like 3 Reviews about the wandavision series and I really understood perfectly where they wanted to go.

They wanted to show us a story of the origin and struggle of a Wanda who had to go through a lot in such a short time, they show us her origins and what could be of her life if VISION was still alive, everything that was featured in the series, we even got to know a little more about VISION and other characters. I think that this type of series is perfect to develop the characters a little more since in the movies time is limited and many options are always gathered in one place.

The series gave us what it had to give us and regardless of whether you are a follower of all Marvel movies or if you have read a thousand Comics, you can enjoy it in the same way.

A good series, as I have already said in my past Reviews.

    Greetings!
