This was probably the most important movie released in these past few weeks and thanks to the pandemic, it was released both in theaters and also on HBO Max. Some time ago Warner Bros informed that all their movies of 2021 will be released both ways simultaneously and this has sparked some controversy but I think it is a proper strategy. Who knows when the people will feel confident enough to attend the theaters en masse again...

In this new movie with Wonder Woman, she will have to face a threat that exists thanks to a misuse of an ancient and powerful artifact. There are 2 villains, or should I say, semi villains because neither of them is completely evil, and I think the most hardcore fans will probably be able to guess one of them, which is a classic enemy of Wonder Woman.

Its length is a bit too much, it lasts 2 and a half hours and even though it was entertaining I don't think the story was complex enough to justify such a length. Nevertheless, it didn't get boring and people who enjoy this type of film will certainly have a good time with it.

The movie has a good message to the viewers because it shows how can people become corrupted, uncontrolled, and disastrous. The 2 semi villains aren't paranormal beings capable of destroying the world with their own powers but rather regular people with typical frustrations of everyday life. These frustrations coupled with the magical power of the ancient artifact will cause havoc.

What I enjoyed the least were several action scenes where Wonder Woman's moves felt strange. She also used her "Lasso of Truth" and sometimes it was very similar to Spider-Man with his spiderweb. There were also some unexplained things such as how did one of the semi villains had a radical change of appearance near their final fight. But for the most part the movie was good.

I think the movie is worth watching but it didn't feel very special to me. I am clearly not the biggest fan of Wonder Woman or superhero movies in general but I can easily enjoy them. This one was fine but for me, it was very forgettable.
