In general, horror films provide us with entertainment. It is very rare to find films that provide meanings and lessons. That is, we can say that if a horror movie does not provide the expected entertainment, it is not successful. The movie IT had all the elements that will make you enjoy it, it is not like the rest of the modern horror films that do not get fat and do not sing from hunger.
The film focuses on childhood fears, as it is known that the characters are a group of children. These fears lead the characters to unimaginable consequences. Our main character “Penny Wise” exploits these fears to distract his prey and make it a prey.
The movie begins in a wonderful way that makes you look forward to the upcoming events, and what surprises the movie holds for you. As for the time of the events, it revolves around October 1988, with a charming classic image that mixes to make you become infected with nostalgia for the past, or more precisely, it makes you turn to watching classic films and keeps you away from modern films.
Honestly, old movies (especially horror movies) are far superior to what we see today. The film The Exorcist in 1973 is a glaring example of what I am talking about, and there are certainly many films that I cannot mention in the article. As for the majority of modern films, they rely on media hype and nothing more, and their content is weak in many ways.
Anyway, let's focus on the movie IT, which takes place when Bill Denbrough gives his seven-year-old brother Georgie a paper sailboat. Georgie takes the boat and goes outside in the rain, the boat speeds up due to the torrential water and eventually falls into the sewers.
“Take the boat, Georgie.”
Georgie tries to get out of the boat to show us that terrifying character, the clown Pennywise. A short dialogue takes place between them, and Georgie ends up disappearing because of the clown.
The children disappear one by one, each leaving a bloody remnant behind, until a group of seven children unite for that terrifying showdown with the evil clown and their determination to kill him.
Several things caught my attention, but which made me somewhat shocked at first; Because I didn't understand it, it's the great amount of comedy in the movie!
Well, perhaps many will not notice it for various reasons, but it was present in a way that makes you think that you are watching a comic, despite the feeling of strangeness at first, but I liked it very much. Excellent between comic and serious here.
From the timeline of events, it can be said that you will not only notice the comedic scenes in the beginning and middle, when the film crosses the midpoint, the terrible and horrible adventure begins. The film depicts children in two ways: the first is that they are ordinary children as they should be, with their own lives and fears, and in the second way, it can be said that it focused on a major transformation in their personalities to fight Benny Wise.

There is something charming about this character, despite the many characters that appeared in horror films, but this character has a special character that makes it unforgettable, perhaps his appearance in unpredictable places is what made him a unique character.
The make-up was perfect and Bill Skarsgård's performance was outstanding. The way the film was presented, from its sequential action, directing, script and effects, was at the highest level.
Let's talk about the most important aspect of the movie, which are the basic pieces of every horror movie, the story and the terrifying jumps. In the beginning, the film focused largely on the story and the development of the characters, in addition to the comedy factor, which received a large percentage of the film, as I mentioned.
The camaraderie, childhood, and overcoming difficulties are embodied in the film. The story is the most important element if you want a movie to succeed.
For creepy jumps or sudden shivering scenes, I won't guarantee you will see a large amount of them at first, you will have to be patient to get what you crave, but believe me that waiting is never boring, IT is a fun movie from start to finish.
In some of the scary scenes from the movie, the objects that were used were distinct to make you feel like you're watching an old movie as I mentioned. The movie also relied heavily on sound effects that will make your hair stand up and won't keep you in place. If you hate clowns, I don't recommend watching the movie, as it will haunt you in your dreams for the next few weeks.
