HBO made some of the really good TV series and often they cut out the series because they had nothing to drag for. The outsider is one of the series that would make cut to such list. It's one series that falls into horror and the thriller category at the same time.
So let's get started with the review of "The Outsider".

Story
It all starts with the investigation of murder and then suddenly things start to get deeper as the detective tries to open wounds which were not even visible. And then he comes new things as he pushes ahead. From start to few episode ahead you would be spending time trying to connect the dots and then slowly it starts to make sense.
Characters
You would find few recurring characters in the series. Some new characters get added later in the show. For few episodes you would not even bother about any of the characters unless you were paying attention to few who are the most important. Overall acting and the presence is kind of felt for each one of them. They are definitely worth watching.
What About the Demonic Entity?
This is one of the creepy series centered around a very old demon that feeds off the kids and the people who are stray in life. The demon or entity in mexico is being called as "cucoo" and in other places of the world it is known by other names. Do google for the same and also try to find out if this entity is pretty known in your area with different names.
Conclusion
Unfortunately the series ends with the 1st season. And there is no strong story to tell and so they have not decided to continue ahead. But it is definitely story worth telling for those who are trying to know more of such demonic encounters in everyday life. You would love similar stories if Stephen King ever writes one.
I'd definitely recommend watching this series if you are into horror, thriller type of TV Shows.
