Hello movie lovers! How are you? What are you doing this weekend? As for me, I just watch dramas or movies as usual. I just finished watching a Korean drama called Once Upon A Small Town and decided to make a review. By the way this drama is airing on Netflix and maybe some of you have already watched it. The first reason I watched this drama was that the main character was Park Sooyoung a.k.a Joy, a member of a famous Korean girl group called Red Velvet. She's one of my favorite kpop idols, so I don't want to miss watching her drama.
This drama tells the story of Ahn Ja Young (Park Soo Young) a regional police officer in a small town and a veterinarian from the city of Seoul named Han Jiyul (Chu Youngwoo) who recently moved to the local area. Ahn Jayoung is a cheerful and kind-hearted girl and likes to help the residents, therefore she is loved by all the townspeople. Meanwhile, Han Jiyul is someone who doesn't care about other people. The two of them often get involved with each other until they finally fall in love with each other. However, their relationship experienced many obstacles, such as Jayoung's best friend who turned out to be secretly in love with him, as well as Jiyul's ex-girlfriend who suddenly came and wanted to be together again. However, at the end of the drama Ahn Jayoung and Han Jiyul were together. Even in the last episode, Han Jiyul proposed to Ahn Jayoung.
My opinion after watching this drama
As I expected, the story of this drama is very light to watch. The visuals are also good. Because the story is about a small town or country, throughout the drama the scene is about rice fields and countryside. Actually the story is average, nothing special but I like it. The acting of the players is also still a bit lacking in my opinion, but it's still good to watch. The chemistry of the cast is also pretty good, but I think it could be even better. The romance is thin at the beginning to the middle, but this is very sweet. Towards the end of the new romance develops. Overall, this drama is quite entertaining, although not very good. Because the reason I watched this movie was Joy, so I was quite entertained by this drama. Joy's acting is still a bit awkward but that's okay, I still like it. I hope that in the future I will see him act more often.
I think that's enough for this drama review. Honestly I'm confused what else will be discussed if it's too long. I hope you who read this review like it. Thank you and see you!
