Hi Steemians!
Until what point a man looking for a job can arrive?
Steal... or even worse, speculate on the death of others!?
How far is the human being able to push himself to achieve his goals?
If you are interested I suggest you take a drink and popcorn and stay a couple of hours in the company of Lou because this film will answer most of these questions!
The principal character of the film is him, Lou, a man looking for a job that wants to get in any way possible. First he steals some fences attacking a security officer and tries to sell them to a junkyard asking him for a job, but the owner guesses his lack of honesty and clearly replies that he does not hire thieves. Returning home an evening accidentally attends a potentially fatal traffic accident, the one that most affects him however, couple of freelancers coming on headed by Bill, which is shooting everything with his camera and then run in search of the next scoop. Luo propose himself immediately to be able to work with them but Bill doesn't want to know absolutely and denigrates by taking it for a poor fool. The good Lou is certainly many things but certainly not a naive and is caught by an illumination: in a few moments he can study the content of the back of the freelancer van eyeing the equipment and notes a radio connected to the frequency of the police. So began his ascent to success: get a used camera and a radio with the money from a stolen bike.
Time later reaches a TV station and knows the journalist Nina who gives him help for the first steps in the field and will soon become his mentor. The first reports do not succeed well, they are in situations unsuitable for the TV station's requests. So he starts studying, evolving, learning by heart all the radio codes to be able to distinguish the Ten code of police, when the reports start to be decent, he can buy a camera and a new car (...and what a car!) to be able to become as competitive as possible. Just before that he hire Rick, a poor almost homeless desperate who pays a few dollars to help him as a navigator while he is driving and over time will do his first man for shooting.
We begin to see his madness in the impressive scene in which he moves a corpse of a man involved in an accident to make the scene more effective. As if this were not enough during another report he come in a rich neighborhood, hear firearms and approached the house sees two criminals escaping in the car by shooting them with the camera and being able to identify them (later cutting the scene to omit the police and the television station) then enters the house and finds some lifeless bodies that resumes with great skill: it becomes the news of the day that we will talk about the news for some time and will be nicknamed horrors house. Doesn't matter if in reality there were drugs in the house and they were not just murders of rich people.
The broadcaster just thinks to make more money.
Shocking when he cuts the brake cables of Bill's van because had underestimated him but then returned to his steps understanding his "potential" and offering him to work together receiving the refusal from Lou. Lou shoot the finals life moment of Bill without scruples when he hit a pole with his van the same night of the sabotage.
Increases confidence in himself day by day and put on corner Nina threatening her and putting her in front an hard choice: "Having sex with him and he follow his directives or he will go with his reports to the competition." To achieve the fame that he longs for with all his strength he accepts "the agreement" and becomes a succubus of Lou.
It continues worse and worse with the scene of the police pursuit of the criminals he himself denounced and who had resumed in the fragrance of crime in the horrors house. During the chase there is an incident involving criminals and policemen. He approaches the car of the criminals and suggests to his colleague to resume the scene, the man in the car is still alive and shoots him killing him, Lou approaches to Rick shooting his last he breathes and blames him, whispering that he has tried to stand in his way asking him for an increase in salary, this when he had begun to understand the true essence of Lou.
This service brings him to big fame and will succeed in achieving his goal: to make a career in the journalistic world. Unscrupulous world that does not look at anyone and who thinks only of making more audience and the provents obtained from these.

A character with phenomenal genius that makes a strange effect, is so psychopathic and sometimes horrifying that almost you like him you... The Dexter effect, the principal character of a singular TV series (if you do not know him he's the killer of serial killers**).*
Great film, bitter and plenty of thought and questions. Magical interpretation for Jake Gyllenhaal, candidate for best actor in a drama at the Golden Globe, where his act a character without scruples, that doesn't care about anybody and everything. The film was also nominated for best original screenplay at the Oscar. No victories, however, for a film really excellent, realistic, thoughtful and critical.

Thanks for reading and video hosting, see you next time!✌️
