¡Gente bonita! Espero estén muy bien, hoy quiero llegar con un análisis especial a una película súper increíble que me vi este año y me disfruté demasiado, al punto que me inspiro un personaje a analizarlo, hoy quiero hablar del gato con Botas y su gran personaje que es “la muerte”.

I hope you are very well, today I want to come with a special analysis to a super amazing movie that I saw this year and I enjoyed it too much, to the point that I was inspired by a character to analyze it, today I want to talk about Puss in Boots and his great character that is "death".
A lo largo de las películas, tanto animadas como no, nos representan a la muerte de diferentes formas, y cuando quieren darle un personaje que participe en la trama de verdad casi siempre lo representan de manera simple, mucho negro, horrible, que se tiene que tapar el rostro o hasta sin rostro, una gigante oz y no dice muchas palabras solo amenaza con llevarte a tu destino que es morir. Todas estas representaciones se respetaron en esta película, pero siento que la dieron un toque tanto original como magnífico.
Throughout the movies, both animated and not, we represent death in different ways, and when they want to give him a character who participates in the plot of truth almost always represent it in a simple way, a lot of black, horrible, you have to cover your face or even faceless, a giant oz and does not say many words only threatens to take you to your destiny which is to die. All these representations were respected in this film, but I feel they gave it a touch both original and magnificent.

En los dibujos animados los lobos siempre son villanos, entonces fue como lo primero que se vino a la mente y más sabiendo que empresa está trabajando esta película pero, el lobo por si solo como animal representa sabiduría, es decir que tiene que enseñarnos algo o buscará hacerlo y en este caso siento que utilizarlo para eso más la muerte me recordó mucho a lo que es un Grim que, para los fans de Harry Potter como yo, sabemos que un grim es una representación o símbolo de la muerte, que aparece como un perro grande todo de negro, para mí se sintió como una mezcla de ambos pues este personaje le enseña al protagonista a valorar más su vida pero igual su objetivo era llevarlo a la muerte.
In cartoons wolves are always villains, then it was like the first thing that came to mind and more knowing that company is working this movie but, the wolf by itself as an animal represents wisdom, that is to say that it has to teach us something or will seek to do so and in this case I feel that using it for that plus death reminded me a lot of what is a Grim that, for Harry Potter fans like me, we know that a grim is a representation or symbol of death, which appears as a large dog all in black, for me it felt like a mixture of both because this character teaches the protagonist to value his life more but still his goal was to lead him to death.
Que sea de pelaje blanco con ojos rojos de verdad ayudo a su temática macabra y también a mantenernos un poco confundidos, pues no lo presentan de una vez como la muerte, se cree al principio que es un caza recompensas muy bueno porque “no se le ha escapado nadie” y simplemente va por el premio de llevarse al gato con botas con él, para luego analizándolo mucho más y ya al final lo mencionan descubrir que es un ente, es la muerte misma buscando al gato con botas.
The fact that he is white fur with real red eyes helped his macabre theme and also to keep us a little confused, because he is not presented all at once as death, it is believed at first that he is a very good bounty hunter because "no one has escaped him" and simply goes for the prize of taking the cat in boots with him, and then analyzing him much more and at the end he is mentioned to discover that he is an entity, he is death itself looking for the cat in boots.

Esta es mi parte favorita del personaje pues ya no solo era macabro y despiadado buscando al gato, sino que también cada vez que aparecía tarareaba una canción silbándola agregándole demasiada chispa al personaje pues de verdad lo primero que casi grito en la sala de cine, pero grite en mi cabeza fue EL SILBÓN, y la verdad es que quería saber que canción era la que agarraron para la tonada y QUEDE LOCA. La canción que el lobo silva es conocido como “el tema del gato con botas”, porque es el mismo tema que cada vez que el gato ponía sus bellos ojos gigantes sonaba de fondo.
This is my favorite part of the character because he was not only macabre and ruthless looking for the cat, but also every time he appeared he hummed a song whistling it adding too much sparkle to the character because really the first thing I almost screamed in the movie theater, but I screamed in my head was EL SILBÓN, and the truth is that I wanted to know what song was the one they grabbed for the tune and I WAS CRAZY. The song that the wolf whistles is known as the "Puss in Boots theme song", because it is the same song that every time the cat would roll his beautiful giant eyes it would play in the background.
Algo que me encanta en ese detalle que no es una melodía recordable, pues no sonaba siempre si no justamente ese momento del gato que tal vez no le prestabas mucha atención al fondo musical, pero si justo ahorita lo comparan verán que es verdad, es una versión más macabra de la misma melodía. Ahora ya sabiendo que silbaba, el simple hecho de elegir que lo silbara es un toque muy latino americano, pues pudo haberlo tarareado o simplemente hacer que sonada de fondo sin que lo interpretara el propio personaje, pero no, decidieron que lo silbara él mismo haciéndonos recordar, o particularmente a mí, a la famosa leyenda venezolana del silbón que trataba simplemente del espectro que sabías que estaba cerca al escuchar su silbido, si lo escuchabas cerca estaba lejos, y si lo escuchabas lejos estaba cerca.
Something that I love in that detail that it is not a memorable melody, because it did not always sound if not just that moment of the cat that maybe you did not pay much attention to the musical background, but if you compare it right now you will see that it is true, it is a more macabre version of the same melody. Now knowing that he was whistling, the simple fact of choosing to have him whistle it is a very Latin American touch, because he could have hummed it or simply made it sound in the background without the character himself interpreting it, but no, they decided to have him whistle it himself, reminding us, or particularly me, of the famous Venezuelan legend of the whistle that was simply about the specter that you knew it was near when you heard its whistle, if you heard it near it was far away, and if you heard it far away it was near.
No desperdicies tu vida | Don't waste your life
Ya cuando descubrimos que es la muerte quien persigue al gato con botas nos preguntamos ¿Por qué tanto esmero a llevárselo? ¿Por qué no simplemente esperar a que acabe con su última vida y ya? Pero es que el personaje muestra un sentido de justicia hacia la vida y un desprecio hacia como la desperdicia el gato con botas, pues al confiarse de tener 7, muchas de las que perdió fueron por descuidos muy absurdos que pudo haber evitado con facilidad, entonces ya al ver que solo le quedaba una, y desperdiciarla en pedirle más, en vez de buscar vivir mejor, eso hace que este personaje prefiera atacar.
When we discover that it is death who pursues Puss in Boots, we wonder why so much care to take him away? Why not just wait for him to end his last life and that's it? But the character shows a sense of justice towards life and a contempt for how Puss in Boots wastes it, because when he was confident of having 7, many of those he lost were due to absurd carelessness that he could have easily avoided, then seeing that he only had one left, and wasting it in asking for more, instead of seeking to live better, that makes this character prefer to attack.
Es un antagonista demasiado bien pensado de la película, es mi personaje favorito en todo lo que vi y ojalá aparezca en más películas de este universo, aunque, en mi opinión, no debería haber más películas de Shrek o este personaje, tengo miedo que le pase lo mismo que pasó con la Era del Hielo, pero igual confiar tampoco es malo porque se podría decir que muchos llegaron a decirme que esta película del gato con botas iba a dar algo igual, que sería más de lo mismo, pero eso no pasó de verdad que esta película entretuvo bastante y me dio un personaje que me trajo aquí a inspirarme hoy.
He is a very well thought out antagonist of the movie, he is my favorite character in everything I saw and hopefully he will appear in more movies of this universe, although, in my opinion, there should not be more Shrek movies or this character, I am afraid that the same thing that happened with Ice Age will happen to him, but still trusting is not bad either because you could say that many came to tell me that this movie of the cat in boots was going to give something the same, that it would be more of the same, but that did not happen really that this movie entertained enough and gave me a character that brought me here to inspire me today.
