WEAK HERO CLASS 2 (REVIEW) 2022 [ENG/ESP]

En la primera temporada Yeon Shi Eun fue transferido de sus escuela luego de todos los problemas que ocurrieron, el asunto es que ahora luego de unos años de tranquilidad se verá nuevamente involucrado en peleas bastante violentas. Weak hero class regresa con su segunda temporada después de 3 años del estreno de la primera.

Estoy muy feliz de nuevamente poder hablarles de esta serie, es de mis favoritas y espere con muchas ansias esta temporada, de una vez les voy diciendo que no me decepcionó para nada y al igual que con la primera temporada casi que lloré en cada episodio, a continuación les daré mi opinión CON SPOILERS de toda la serie.

In the first season Yeon Shi Eun was transferred from her school after all the problems that happened, the thing is that now after a few years of quietness she will be involved in quite violent fights again. Weak hero class is back with its second season 3 years after the premiere of the first one.

I am very happy to be able to talk about this series again, it is one of my favorites and I waited anxiously for this season, I will tell you once and for all that I was not disappointed at all and just like with the first season I almost cried in every episode, next I will give you my opinion WITH SPOILERS of the whole series.

Aún con todo el dolor debido a los acontecimientos de la primera temporada Sieun hace lo posible por seguir adelante y continuar con su vida, o más bien, con sus estudios, en su escuela no habla con nadie y sólo se dedica a entregar sus trabajos y mantener sus altas calificaciones nadie se intenta molestarlo debido a los rumores que en su anterior escuela asesinó a uno de sus compañeros por lo que todo el mundo prefiere no arriesgarse y dejar la fiesta en paz,. Sin embargo; todo esto cambia un día cuando Seo Jun Tae es golpeado por otro chico y Sieun a pesar de no querer involucrarse nuevamente en peleas interviene para defender a su compañero.

El personaje de Juntae honestamente me sorprendió, me gustó más de lo que pensé que podría llegar a gustarme. imaginaba que podría tener una personalidad diferente como alguien arrogante pero para mi sorpresa es un chico tierno que sólo busca vivir una buena vida y tener buenos amigos, al mismo tiempo este personaje me da un poco de nostalgia porque pienso en lo que pudo llegar a se Beomseok en la primera temporada, alguien que a pesar de no saber pelear hace lo posible para defender a los que quiere (pero sabemos que eso no terminó así). Sea como sea hasta llegué a pensar que Juntae podría ser el verdadero Hero débil de la clase.

Even with all the pain due to the events of the first season Sieun does his best to move on and continue with his life, or rather, with his studies, in his school he doesn't talk to anyone and only dedicates himself to hand in his work and maintain his high grades no one tries to bother him due to the rumors that in his previous school he murdered one of his classmates so everyone prefers not to risk it and leave the party alone,. However; this all changes one day when Seo Jun Tae gets beaten up by another boy and Sieun despite not wanting to get involved in fights again steps in to defend his classmate.

Juntae's character honestly surprised me, I liked him more than I thought I could ever like him. I imagined he might have a different personality as someone arrogant but to my surprise he is a tender guy who just wants to live a good life and have good friends, at the same time this character makes me a little nostalgic because I think of what Beomseok could have been in the first season, someone who despite not knowing how to fight does his best to defend the ones he loves (but we know that didn't end up like that). Be that as it may I even came to think that Juntae could be the real weak Hero class.

Estoy segura de que no fui la única que entró en conflicto al momento de ver a los nuevos amigos de Sieun en el trailer de la serie puesto que todos extrañamos a Suho y lo que más esperamos es su regreso pero conforme fui viendo la serie fue inevitable para el encariñarme con estas personas. Park Hu Min, Seo Jun Tae y Ko Hyeon Tak le dan felicidad a mi corazón por el simple hecho de darle algo de felicidad y paz a Sieun.

Algo que noté es que esta temporada está llena de historias paralelas y un gran ejemplo es Ko Hyeon Tak. Según Park Hu Min (Baku) nos cuenta en la serie Hyeon tak (Gotak) se lastima la a rodilla de forma tan grave que su carrera en taekwondo termina para siempre, baku dice que se siente culpable ya que todos los problemas de su amigo comenzaron cuando se hicieron cercanos. Si bien Suho ya tenía una lesión antes de conocer a Sieun en la primera temporada Baku y Sieun tienen algo en común al sentir culpa por terminar (de cierta forma) con la vida de alguien más.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one who got conflicted when I saw Sieun's new friends in the trailer of the series since we all miss Suho and what we are most looking forward to is his comeback but as I watched the series, it was inevitable for me to get attached to these people. Park Hu Min, Seo Jun Tae and Ko Hyeon Tak bring happiness to my heart by simply giving some happiness and peace to Sieun.

One thing I noticed is that this season is full of parallel stories and a great example is Ko Hyeon Tak. According to Park Hu Min (Baku) tells us in the series Hyeon tak (Gotak) hurts his knee so badly that his taekwondo career ends forever, baku says he feels guilty since all his friend's problems started when they became close. While Suho already had an injury before meeting Sieun in the first season Baku and Sieun have something in common in feeling guilty for ending (in a way) someone else's life.

Desde que comenzaron a nombrar a Baku quería ver como era, hablan de él como si fuera una gran persona, alguien que los mantiene a todos a salvo y eso sin duda da curiosidad, en el momento en el que por fin aparece el personaje me gustó de una vez, es alguien sociable y que solo quiere que todos estén bien y sin miedo a vivir, lo mejor de todo es que conforme la serie avanza conocemos más sobre él, vemos que no es siempre el chico amigable y sonriente si no que también tiene oscuridad en su vida, problemas con su padre y además esta su antigua amistas con Na Baek Jin.

Since they began to name Baku I wanted to see how he was, they talk about him as if he was a great person, someone who keeps everyone safe and that certainly gives curiosity, at the time when the character finally appears I liked him all at once, he is someone sociable and just wants everyone to be well and without fear to live, best of all is that as the series progresses we know more about him, we see that he is not always the friendly and smiling guy but also has darkness in his life, problems with his father and also his old friendship with Na Baek Jin.

Dentro de los pocos comentarios que he visto de la serie hay uno que me llamó mucho la atención y fue ¨¿Por qué queríamos un buen final para Baek Jin y no para Beom Seok?¨ Si nos ponemos a pensar ambos fueron chicos a los cuales acosaron y fueron rescatados, y con el tiempo se volvieron amigos de aquellos que los ayudaron sin embargo la venganza toma un papel principal en sus vida rompen amistad con quienes alguna vez los ayudaron y comienzan a generar más violencia (incluso) de la que recibían ¿la violencia justifica la violencia? Honestamente me encantaría decir directamente que ¨No¨ pero siento que la respuesta no es tan sencilla.

En el caso de Beom Seok ya lo he mencionado anteriormente, su problema no eran los celos o incluso la venganza, su problema siempre fue consigo mismo. Pudo tener amigos y una vida llevable pero sus emociones reprimidas lo superaron llevándolo a lo que fue el final de la primera temporada de la serie.

Por otro lado, Na Baek Jin es un chico mucho más inteligente, no sólo sabe pelear si no que también es alguien calculador. Desde un principio queda claro que quiere a Baku con él, su meta no es tomar el control de su escuela si no el poder de controlar a Baku y aunque lo consigue por un corto tiempo fue vencido por una fuerza mayor. Llegó un punto en la serie en la que no me imaginaba otro final para el más que el que tuvo, Hay teorías que dicen que realmente no esta muerto si no que huyó para escapar de la mafia pero ¿Qué tan probable podría ser eso? En realidad en una serie con tanta violencia me sorprende que no se haya muerto alguien antes (Aunque con Suho me dieron un gran susto).

Pienso que la diferencia entre Na Beak Jin y Oh Beom Seok es la narrativa. A BaekJin desde un principio lo vemos como un villano, y conforme la serie avanza es que conocemos su historia y vamos formando un lazo más empático con él además de que el hecho de que sea tan listo y sepa pelear bien lo hace ver como alguien mucho carácter y personalidad. En cambio, a BeomSeok lo conocemos como alguien débil, no nos cuentan su historia en retrospectiva si no que va de forma lineal, vemos de primera mano el como se acerca a Sieun y Suho y como traiciona su amistad, básicamente lo vemos transformarse de alguien débil y solitario a alguien trastornado lleno de sed de venganza. Ambos personajes son entregados al publico de maneras distintas para que puedas ver sus similitudes y aún así sentir cosas diferentes por cada uno de ellos.

Tengo que agregar también que me emocionó ver el personaje de BeomSeok en esta temporada.

Among the few comments I have seen about the series there is one that caught my attention and it was "Why did we want a good ending for Baek Jin and not for Beom Seok? If we think about it, both were kids who were bullied and rescued, and eventually became friends with those who helped them, however revenge takes a major role in their lives, they break friendships with those who once helped them and begin to generate more violence (even) than they received, does violence justify violence? Honestly I would love to say “No” but I feel that the answer is not so simple.

In the case of Beom Seok I have already mentioned before, his problem was not jealousy or even revenge, his problem was always with himself. He could have had friends and a bearable life but his repressed emotions overcame him leading him to what was the end of the first season of the series.

On the other hand, Na Baek Jin is a much smarter guy, he not only knows how to fight but he is also calculating. From the beginning it is clear that he wants Baku with him, his goal is not to take control of his school but the power to control Baku and although he succeeds for a short time he was defeated by a greater force. There came a point in the series where I could not imagine any other ending for him than the one he had, there are theories that say that he is not really dead but that he fled to escape the mafia but how likely could that be? Actually in a series with so much violence I'm surprised someone hasn't died sooner (Although with Suho I got a big scare).

I think the difference between Na Beak Jin and Oh Beom Seok is the narrative. BaekJin from the beginning we see him as a villain, and as the series progresses is that we know his story and we form a more empathetic bond with him plus the fact that he is so smart and knows how to fight well makes him look like someone with a lot of character and personality. BeomSeok, on the other hand, we get to know him as someone weak, we are not told his story in retrospect but in a linear fashion, we see firsthand how he approaches Sieun and Suho and how he betrays their friendship, basically we see him transform from someone weak and lonely to someone deranged and full of thirst for revenge. Both characters are delivered to the audience in different ways so you can see their similarities and still feel different things for each of them.

I have to also add that I was excited to see BeomSeok's character in this season.

En cuanto a la actuación he de decir que el que más me impresionó fue Lee Jun-young con el personaje de Geum Seong-je, el primer drama de vi de él fue Imitation y hace poco lo vi como un dulce chico en Si la vida te da mandarinas, ahora verlo como un un lunático que sabe pelear se me hace muy impresionante, es un actor que me ha estado sorprendiendo bastante. En general soy gran fan de todos los actores que conforman este cast, Me alegró mucho ver a Park Jihoon dándole vida nuevamente a Yeon SiEun y lloré al ver nuevamente a Choi Hyun-wook como Suho en final de la serie. Además el final quedó como para una segunda temporada, si la habrá o no no tengo idea pero en caso de que si seré feliz de verla.

As for the acting I have to say that the one who impressed me the most was Lee Jun-young with the character of Geum Seong-je, the first drama I saw of him was Imitation and recently I saw him as a sweet guy in If Life Gives You Tangerines, now seeing him as a lunatic who knows how to fight is very impressive, he is an actor who has been surprising me a lot. In general I'm a big fan of all the actors in this cast, I was very happy to see Park Jihoon bringing Yeon SiEun back to life and I cried when I saw Choi Hyun-wook as Suho again at the end of the series. Also the ending was left for a second season, whether there will be or not I have no idea but in case there will be I will be happy to watch it.
