Greetings good movie lovers! Today I want to tell you a little about my opinions about the movie Troll 3: Band Together. Walt Dohrn directed the film and was first released on November 17th of this year. For those of you who haven't seen it yet don't worry I don't plan on spoilers. I'll say that this time Branch and Poppy embark on a journey together with a person from Branch's past to save another person from Branch's past. You saw how I don't do spoilers for you guys.

¡Saludos amantes del buen cine! Hoy quiero contarles un poco sobre mis opiniones sobre la película Troll 3: Band Together. El filme fue dirigido por Walt Dohrn y se estrenó por primera vez el 17 de noviembre de este año. Para lo que no la han visto aún no se preocupen que no tengo pensado hacer espóileres. Solo diré que en esta ocasión Branch y Poppy emprenden un viaje junto a una persona del pasado de Branch con el objetivo de salvar a otra persona del pasado de Branch. Let's start by saying that I was impressed by the music, I didn't have faith in this movie, but when I listened to the songs I liked them, I would say that the casting is very good with singers and artists of high stature. The story is not very good, but it is not bad either. I say this because, although they chose a good theme related to family and the importance of it, I feel they could have given it more depth, not just staying with the superficial of the problem. As such it is a musical, so those who don't like music (I don't think there is such a person) should watch another movie and although they will see some jokes for adults, which is typical of Dream Work, I say since it is oriented to a more child audience. But still, it was about time they stuck with their original line and I feel that here they dared to do it a little bit to see how it would turn out.

Empecemos diciendo que quedé impresionado por la música, la verdad no lo tenía fe a esta película, pero cuando escuche las canciones me gustaron, diría que el casting es muy bueno contando con cantantes y artistas de alta talla. La historia no es muy buena, pero tampoco llega a ser mala. Digo esto porque, aunque escogieron un buen tema relacionado con la familia y la importancia de esta, siento que pudieron haberle dado más profundidad, no solo quedándose con lo superficial del problema. Como tal es un musical, así que para el que no le guste la música (no creo que exista alguien así) debería de ver otra película y aunque van a ver algunos chistes para adultos, lo cual es algo típico de Dream Work, les digo desde, ya que está orientada a un público más infantil. Pero aun así ya era hora de que siguieran con su línea original y siento que aquí se atrevieron a hacerlo un poco para ver que tal salía.
As for the cast, the actors are great, featuring the talents of Troye Sivan, Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick just to name a few. The new characters are each authentic so to speak and portray their personalities well. The concept of "family" allows the viewer (boys and girls for the most part) to understand in a fun and lighthearted way all that your family can do for you. Camila Cabello as Viva was the best choice they could have made, as she handles the proportions of her character very well.

En cuanto al elenco, los actores son estupendos, contando con el talento de Troye Sivan, Justin Timberlake y Anna Kendrick por solo mencionar algunos. Los nuevos personajes son cada uno auténticos por así decirlo y representan bien sus personalidades. El concepto de “familia” permite al espectador (niños y niñas en gran parte) comprender de una forma divertida y alegre todo lo que puede llegar a hacer tu familia por ti. Camila Cabello como Viva fue la mejor elección que pudieron hacer, ya que ella maneja muy bien las proporciones de su personaje.

Pero como no todo puede ser color rosa y purpurina, debo decir que sentí como que en esta parte los trolls como tal pierden protagonismo y medio que desaparecen ante la nueva variedad de especies nuevas, con sus diseños, algunos más acertados que otros. A pesar de que la animación está muy bien echa, cabe recalcar que en algunos momentos decidieron mezclar la animación clásica de Disney con técnicas más modernas, teniendo como resultado algo que en ocasiones no me terminaba de gustar.

En resumen, creo que esta entrega sigue teniendo la esencia de Trolls, pero como que no pueden superar a la primera parte y con cada nueva parte nos deja un mal sabor de boca y algunas expectativas rotas. Aun así, sigue siendo un producto infantil que cumple con su objetivo, es vistoso e incluso divertido, pero con una ausencia de alma evidente que muchas veces no consigue sorprender. Verdaderamente, una pena porque se ha convertido en una franquicia que está orientada a obtener un veneficio asegurado y no buscar mejorar e innovar.
