Cuando hablamos de películas, poco a poco me voy poniendo al día con los estrenos de este año y no porque no me guste el cine, por Dios ¿A quién no le gusta el cine? Más allá de sus mediocres instalaciones del único cine de la ciudad donde vivo, son los precios pues un combo de cotufa pequeño está alrededor de 10$ lo cual para mí, en la situación actual no me puedo dar esos lujos. Lamentable pero cierto. Igual no me doy mala vida por eso, en casa logro verlas aún con más tranquilidad. Solo extrañando el envolvente sonido del cine. Así que solo me queda esperar que en Xuper Tv sea estrenada ja ja ja…
When it comes to movies, I’m slowly catching up on this year’s new releases and it’s not because I don’t like movies. For heaven’s sake, who doesn’t like movies? Aside from the mediocre facilities at the only movie theater in the city where I live, it’s the prices a small popcorn combo costs around $10, which, given my current situation, is a luxury I can’t afford. Sad but true. Still, I don’t let it get me down I can watch them at home with even more peace of mind. I just miss the immersive sound of the theater. So all I can do is hope it premieres on Xuper TV, ha ha ha…
Ayer como en la mayoría de los domingos, solemos hacer cosas en familia. Ayer no fuimos un ratito a la playa y luego juntos preparamos el almuerzo, jugamos Xbox y hasta UNO para finalizar viendo Toy Story 5 lo cual desde que se habló de esta película, me tenía bastante intrigado pues cuando vi la primera tenía apenas 11 años y la verdad, es que pensé que la franquicia ya estaba más que cerrada. Pero no, Toy Story 5 nos regala una nueva historia, algo bastante diferente a la habitual, el abandono de los juguetes y el crecimiento de los niños.
Yesterday, like most Sundays, we usually do things as a family. Yesterday, we didn’t go to the beach for a little while, and then we made lunch together, played Xbox, and even played UNO, finishing up by watching Toy Story 5 a movie that had me pretty intrigued ever since it was first mentioned, because when I saw the first one, I was just 11 years old, and honestly, I thought the franchise was already over and done with. But no Toy Story 5 gives us a new story, one that’s quite different from the usual theme of toys being abandoned and children growing up.
En esta historia la película nos presenta una historia bastante reflexiva, divertida y emocionalmente muy efectiva. El mensaje de la película es bastante claro y que Jessie sea la figura principal, es un buen acierto de los escritores pues Jessie logra conectar su historia con entregas pasadas. Me hizo mucho pensar en Luna, pues ella en una niña que aun con sus nueves años, no le hemos otorgado la libertad de usar la tecnología, de hecho en casa no hay Tablet para ella o el accesos nuestros teléfonos. De hecho lo más que logra hacer es ver televisor y eso, luego de que realice todas sus actividades académicas y del hogar.
In this film, the story is quite thought-provoking, funny, and emotionally powerful. The film’s message is quite clear, and making Jessie the main character was a smart move by the writers, as she successfully ties her story to previous installments. It really made me think of Luna, because she’s a girl who, even at nine years old, hasn’t been given the freedom to use technology in fact, at home she doesn’t have a tablet or access to our phones. In fact, the most she’s allowed to do is watch TV, and even that’s only after she’s finished all her schoolwork and chores.
De hecho, Luna no ha conseguido esa amiga que tenga algo similar a sus gustos. Ella todavía juega con sus juguetes es más, las niñas que son vecinas viven casualmente en la era tecnológica, viendo teléfono todo el dia y escuchamos que son todavía las 2 am y las niñas siguen despiertas y entiendo que cada quien tiene su manera de crianza, la nosotros, ya se las mencioné. Es nuestra manera de que ella pueda vivir su infancia tal a su edad. La verdad es que esta es una muy buena película para que aquellos que vimos la primera película de Toy Story, que hoy de seguro somos padres, podamos entender la situación de los niños y la tecnología.
In fact, Luna hasn’t found a friend who shares her interests. She still plays with her toys; what’s more, the girls who live next door happen to be part of the digital age—they’re on their phones all day and we hear that even at 2 a.m., they’re still awake. I understand that everyone has their own parenting style, and I’ve already told you about ours. It’s our way of ensuring she can experience childhood in a way that’s appropriate for her age. The truth is, this is a great movie for those of us who saw the first Toy Story and who are surely parents now to help us understand the situation with kids and technology.
Y hablando de tecnología, no puedo dejar de un lado el nivel técnico en la producción de la película. Gráficamente es impresionante, la iluminación, las texturas de los juguetes y la renderización demuestra el estándar más alto creado por la casa de Pixar. La verdad es que la disfruté mucho y Luna disfrutó aún más de la película.
And speaking of technology, I can't overlook the technical quality of the film's production. Visually, it's stunning the lighting, the textures of the toys, and the rendering all demonstrate the high standards set by Pixar. The truth is, I really enjoyed it, and Luna enjoyed the movie even more.
