¿De qué trata?

Esta película está basada en lo que vivió una Familia Española durante las vacaciones de Navidad en Tailandia, donde el día 26 de Diciembre del 2004, se originó el mayor tsunami del cual se tengan registro, esta familia estaba integrada por María Bennett, Henry Bennett, Lucas, Thomas y Simón, estando en la piscina escuchan un sonidos y todos quedan inmóvil al ver una ola gigante que se acerca a ellos derribando el Complejo Turístico y arrasando con todo a su paso. María es arrastrada y se sujeta a una palmera pero ve a Lucas que era arrastrado por la corriente y ella se suelta para ir tras él y es mal herida en un seno y en la pierna, luego logran asirse y ponerse a salvo, ella sangrando camino y encontraron un niño llamado Daniel. Subieron un árbol hasta que unos lugareños los encontraron, fueron llevados a un poblado y les dieron ropa y montaron a María y a Lucas en una camioneta y se los llevaron al hospital, dejando a Daniel. En el hospital operan a María de urgencia en el pecho, pero sigue mal de la pierna, ella le dice que trate de ayudar a los demás y el comienza anotar todas las personas que solicitaban a sus familiares y logro reunir algunas familias, cuando fue a ver a su mama, ya no estaba el asumió que había muerto. Lucas es llevado a una zona donde están los niños. Lo demás no se los cuento véanla es verdaderamente escalofriante.

• NAOMI WATTS: Interpreto a la doctora María Bennett, madre de Lucas, Thomas y Simón, mujer valiente, ayudo a Lucas cuando era arrastrado por la corriente.

• EWAR MCGREGOR: Interpreto a Henry Bennett esposo de María, padre de Lucas. Thomas y Simón.

• TOM HOLLAND: : Interpreta a Lucas hijo de María y Henry, lucho por su vida y la de su madre, ayudo a los demás a encontrar sus familiares.

• SAMUEL JOSLIN: Interpreta a Thomas hermano de Lucas y Simón.

• OAKLEE PENDERGAST: Interpreta a Simón hermano de Lucas y Thomas.

• GERALDINE CHAPLIN: Interpreto a la Señora que hablo y calmo a Thomas en el refugio.

Opinión Personal

Es una Película que deja sin habla, aterradora, pensar que sucedió y que muchas personas murieron o perdieron algunos de sus familiares, es muy lamentable, al parecer esta familia Española se pudo reencontrar nuevamente, al quedar separados, la escena donde se reencuentran los tres hermanos es muy sentimental, y el estupendo trabajo de Naomi Watts como María Bennett al igual que Tom Holland como Lucas trasmitieron ese nexo que hay entre madre a hijo, así como también desesperación, miedo, terror en sus ojos, tremendos actores, al igual que Ewan Mcgregor como Henry cuando hablo con un familiar por teléfono, trasmite dolor, impotencia y desesperación al no poder encontrar a Lucas y María, también quiero destacar la escena del tsunami realmente impresionante, no me lo quiero ni imaginar, pero fue algo terrible, espantoso. Quería comentar lo único que no me gusto cuando entrego a los dos niños para que los llevaran a un refugio, yo no me hubiera separados de ellos para nada. Bueno amigo se las recomiendo es verdaderamente muy impresionante y lamentable.

What is it about?

This movie is based on what a Spanish family experienced during the Christmas vacations in Thailand, where on December 26, 2004, the biggest tsunami on record originated, this family was composed of Maria Bennett, Henry Bennett, Lucas, Thomas and Simon, being in the pool they hear a sound and all are motionless to see a giant wave that is approaching them knocking down the resort and sweeping away everything in its path. Maria is swept away and clings to a palm tree but sees Lucas** being swept away by the current and she breaks free to go after him and is badly wounded in the breast and leg, then they manage to grab hold and get to safety, she is bleeding and they find a boy named Daniel. ** They climbed a tree until some locals found them, they were taken to a village and were given clothes and they put María and Lucas in a van and took them to the hospital, leaving **Daniel behind. ** At the hospital, María undergoes emergency surgery on her chest, but her leg is still bad, she tells him to try to help the others and he begins to write down all the people who asked for their relatives and manages to reunite some families, when he goes to see his mother, she is no longer there, he assumes that she has died. **Lucas is taken to an area where the children are. The rest I won't tell you, watch it, it is truly chilling.

Personal Opinion

It is a film that leaves you speechless, terrifying, to think that it happened and that many people died or lost some of their relatives, it is very sad, apparently this Spanish family could meet again, to be separated, the scene where the three brothers are reunited is very sentimental, and the great work of Naomi Watts as Maria Bennett as well as Tom Holland as Lucas conveyed that link between mother and son, as well as despair, fear, terror in their eyes, tremendous actors, as well as Ewan Mcgregor as Henry when he talks to a relative on the phone, he transmits pain, helplessness and despair at not being able to find Lucas and Maria, I also want to highlight the scene of the tsunami really impressive, I don't even want to imagine it, but it was something terrible, frightening. I wanted to comment on the only thing I didn't like when she handed over the two children to be taken to a shelter, I would not have left them for anything. Well, my friend, I recommend it to you, it is truly very impressive and pitiful.
