Immortals is an action, fantasy movie directed by Tarsem Singh. Starring Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke, Freida Pinto, Luke Evans, John Hurt, Stephen Dorff, Isabel Lucas, and Kellan Lutz.
It is a movie inspired by Greek mythology stories. Theseus, a despised peasant, was living happily with his poor mother and his old teacher in a little village when Hyperion, in his quest to conquer the gods and rule the universe, attacked and raided the settlement living many dead, including Theseus’s mother.
Theseus found himself captive among others, where he met Phaedra, a seer, and Stavros, who became his allies.

They eventually found a way to escape and returned back to Theseus’s village, where they found the Epirus bow, a powerful weapon that can destroy anything, including a god, but the story only began there, as Hyperion, the villain, has been on the search for the weapon ever since his thirst for power began.

Immortals is a movie I don't get tired of watching because of the adventures. The portrayal of the behavior of gods and their display of power is something I can not have enough of.
The movie was quite good; the background of the environment was nice; the distinction made between the earth realm and the realm of the gods was wise.

I can not forget to mention that one of the outstanding scenes in the movie for me was when Poseidon, one of the gods intervened to save Theseus and his friends by causing a sudden mighty storm to clear the enemy.

That scene shows the superiority of gods over men; it entails that when the gods choose to stand by a man, they can make the impossible happen.
Henry Cavill did a nice job in the movie; the bravery and effort he puts in ensuring that he conquered the enemy was well played.
I love how the movie moved from a revenge story to saving the world. Instead of Theseus fighting to avenge his mother, he became a hero who no longer fights for personal interests but for the salvation of both humanity and the gods.
The action in the movie was top-notch, especially any time the gods were involved.

Immortals is such a movie, but the storyline doesn't seem detailed; it's as if the movie was rushed. For instance, nothing was shown about how the old man, who was Zeus himself in disguise, met Theseus's mother and how they became close.

Nothing was also said about Theseus's Dad thought out the movie. Theseus doesn't know anything about his father and there was never a time he asked.
Meanwhile, I commend the effort of the actors and everyone who made the movie; it's not easy to come up with something like that.
The end was a good one, Theseus managed to terminate Hyperion, but he also died, however, he was blessed with a son who obviously was going to continue from where his father stopped as he was already seeing visions of his father fighting evil forces in the heavenly realm.

I recommend the movie to anyone fascinated in action, fantasy, and adventure movies. It's just a perfect one.
I will rate this movie 7/10
