Yesterday I came across the official trailer of 'The 355' and after watching the trailer I realized it is a movie worth waiting for anxiously. This movie is a spy genre and it has lots of genres apart from Spy. It has Crime, Action, thriller, comedy and drama. All genres I discovered from watching the trailer.
'The 355' is meant to be in the theaters on 7th January 2022. It is directed by Simon Kinberg, story by Theresa Rebeck and produced by three people in which the director is part of the producers too. The movie featured some popular actresses and actors but two actresses drew my attention to this movie; Penélope Cruz and Lupita Nyong'o. These two actresses are my favorite in the movie Industry and I don't miss out on the movies. Having both of them in a movie is going to be an interesting combo.
The production companies involved with this movie are ;Film Nation Entertainment, Genre Films, Freckle Films and Perfect World Pictures. Then we have the universal pictures studio for distribution.
A little Plot of the Movie and my opinion The movie is based on an historical event which took place during the American Revolution when George Washington was the president. During that time there was a spy, the very first called Agent 355 which was a code name but was decrypted and was discovered that the spy was a lady. The first female spy for the United Nations. It is believed that her legacy lives on and up till now, no one knows her real identity or her real name.
Five women who are top spy agents in the world came together to fight a common enemy. American, Britain, Germany, Columbia and China are the agents. They had to come together in order to retrieve a top secret weapon before it can be used to start World War 3 and cause havoc.
These five women had to leave their lives behind to fight the threat if not they risk losing their loved ones and the world would be in danger. Judging from the trailer, Penélope Cruz will definitely be the comic relief there, hence the comedy genre and I sense that there might be a sequel to this movie hehe, I don't know but I think the audience would want more dosage of The 355.
The visual effects are excellent from the trailer, the stunts, plot and setting are thrilling. I would recommend this movie for young adults, lovers of Action and spy movies. If you don't like women being the heroes in movies, then this movie is not for you.
