For the past few days, I have been struggling with watching movies and I was beginning to lose interest in watching movies. Maybe, I needed something different to spike up my interest or do I need a break? I couldn't find out because as soon as I started watching this series, my interest in movies was renewed.

Finally, I decided to watch the second season of ’The Wheel Of Time’ and all I can say is that, I am glad I waited till all the episodes were all aired because I just hate suspense and waiting. I can't survive that. Those of you that watch series episode by episode, how do you do it? 🤨 I just can't.

As we all know, The Wheel Of Time is a high fantasy series that was created by Rafe Judkins and distributed by Amazon Prime Video. The series is based on the book series of the same name that was written by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.

For this second season, the storyline continues from the end of the previous initial season. Now the series started by introducing us to Ishmael who is the strong lieutenant of the Dark One. He was having a meeting with his his darkfriends on how he was going to achieve the task his master gave to him. These plans includes monitoring Rand Al'Thor, the Dragon Reborn rather that assassinating him. Also, Moiraine was struggling from the hurt that comes from been cut off from the “One Power” and lossing her access to magic. This caused her to drift away from her Warder Lan. But during this time, Moraine gather every information she could lay her hands on to help with cause of protecting the Dragon reborn and also wining the last battle that was inevitable.

As events unfolds more, Egwene and Nynaeve were at the white tower to discover more about their power and learn to control it. Nynaeve was experiencing some power block as she couldn't access her magic while Egwene was finding it difficult to carry on without Nynaeve’s company. Also, Perrin, Loial, and Ingtar's company search for the stolen Horn, encountering Padan Fain and the enigmatic Elyas. Perrin also began to discover who he really is and the beast that grows within him.

Later, some Fades, attacked Moraine and Lan. This traumatic event made Moraine to send Lan away to the white tower so that she can find Rand on her own while still struggling with loss of her magic. Then Perrin faces Seanchan forces, and Nynaeve undergoes an Arches test, in which she didnt return. Will Moiraine find Rand? Will Egwene survive without Nynaeve in the White Tower?

My Review And Rating.

Watching the second season of this series, I realized that it is still struggling to stay afloat in the aspect of the scriptwriting. For me, the beginning of the series was slow for me and a little bit confusing. It was when I got to the seventh episode that all my confusion were cleared and that's when the series became thrilling for me to watch.

Don't get me wrong, the script was well written and the plot was arranged well but there all of things happened right from the beginning that felt clustered up for me. The scene arrangements were okay but not satisfactory enough for me. There was no much suspense or tension. Some of the mystery in the plot, I was already able to predict it's result.

The director and producer did an average job with the series, but it is still struggling with the plot. The visuals were fantastic and amazing. The CGI was as good as the initial season and also, storytelling execution was okay, not that bad.

The Cast were amazing because some of them made me emotional. Some of them were pretty annoying while some were just good with their roles. Rosamund Pike and Madeleine Madden actually stole the spotlight of this series regardless of the fact that the Dragon reborn (Josha Stradowski) was supposed to be in the spotlight. Josha was shadowbanned through this series while attention was given more to Madeleine and Rosamund.

Also, a character from the first season caught my attention, Dónal Finn (Mat Cauthon). I think he renewed his integrity here, that was unexpected. Finally, we have Zoë Robins who was suppose to be the powerful Wisdom, but ended up being the cause of Egwene’s torture. That's how I see it and I don't like her character because her emotions are all over the place, full of rage, full of confidence, and too quick to jump into conclusions. That was why she had the power block and was officially useless throughout the series.

From the looks of it, in the next season, I think we will be finding who the Dark One is, my bet, the Dark One is among the Dragon reborn friends (not a spoiler). I hope the next season will be more engaging and thrilling.

Rating this series, I will give it 7.9 out of 10 stars. It was interesting, the action part was on the average. The storytelling was good, the ending was a cliffhanger (I liked that). I am recommending this series to all fantasy lovers.

Me gusta porque tiene ese parecido a las películas fantasiosas como Blancanieves como la de calabozos y dragones pero con su propio estilo Y de verdad que gusta bastante le voy a dar una oportunidad muchas gracias por compartir.

I realized that it is still struggling to stay afloat in the aspect of the scriptwriting...

I read somewhere that this film series is a very poor adaptation of the books so I'm not surprised that the creators are still struggling to tell the story properly. I enjoyed the first season and it seems the action/adventure gets better in this season.

As you've guessed, I think the Dark One is one of the reborn friends. An enemy is always an insider! 😛 A very well-written review. Well done. !LUV 😊
