I guess I am a girl who loves to see justice met out to those who deserve them that most times, when I see most people who try to use their power or money to oppress others, usually wished I had superpowers to make them pay for their act but fortunately wishes aren't horses and I don't have the power, capacity or capabilities to help them get the justice they seek and when I mean justice, I meant for the innocent and needy.
So today, I will be bringing to us this wonderful movie I watched recently and I guess many of us have watched this movie as it isn't a new movie.
I don't know and think there is any friend who would have done what the main character in this movie did. He invested all his life after he was set free from prison only to come out and met justice to the man who forcefully took his friend's wife, married her, then went ahead to even frame and kill his friend in prison.
Blood and bone is a 2009 American martial art film and was released on September 15, 2009. The main actors of this movie are Micheal Jai White (Isaiah Bone), Eamonn Walker (James), Angela (Michelle), and Danny (Kevin Phillips).
After five years in Jail, Isaiah Bone sets to avenge the death of a friend (Danny) with a ruthless mob boss James. In Los Angeles, he goes into the underground fighting world to fulfill this plan which was a promise to his dead friend, and in his first fight, he brings down one of James' notorious fighters none in the underground fighting world as Hammerman (Bob Sapp).
His promise to his friend was to avenge his death and take back his dead friend's wife Angela who was taken forcefully by James, succumbed to hard drugs, and was dragged away from her only son Jared.
James is known as a notorious killer who is above the law and works for Franklin Mcveigh who runs the International fight game and manages the best fighter in the world. James had set Danny up for a crime he did not commit so he could get his wife Angela which landed Danny in prison where he met Bone is cellmate and friend. After James succeeding in sending Danny to prison and taking his wife away from him and their little son named Jared, he decided to kill Danny which he did.
James' interest to join the Consortium group and become one of the powerful and richest men rekindled when he saw Bone beat his best man Hammerman with ease. He tries to persuade Bone into fighting with one of the best men of Franklin and when he realizes that Bone won't succumb to him, he tries to assassinate Bone and the nanny who took Bone into her home. He also went ahead to kill an old man named Roberto who was Bone's friend because the old man caught him killing people so many times and tried to expose him.
James never knew that Bone's mission was to avenge the death of his friend Danny and unite Danny's son and wife together like he had promised his dying friend when James finally realizes the plan, he tries to take Bone down but falls.
Although Bone came when she was deeply into drugs and could not do without them, he took her away from James in a pretense act that he loves her and would want to spend more time with her. He took her to the rehabilitation center to clean her up before letting her meet her son Jared.
Bone fulfilled the promise of his dying friend before leaving the city of Los Angeles.
I don't know but I think this movie did not end well. I was thinking Bone would decide to stay back in Los Angeles and be with the nanny because it was obvious that both of them were becoming into each other. Well, I don't think there is any harm in an ex-convict coming to avenge and fulfill his promise to a dead friend and at the peak of it, finding love, or doesn't he deserve love too? The nanny and Bones have no happy ending just the mother and son. I wish the two had a happy ending of both doing a forever together. Maybe perhaps, I could start my Blood and Bone 2 just consisting of Bone and the nanny having a happy ending together 🤣🤣.
That's just my thought anyway on this movie but you can decide to watch the complete movie to enjoy the spark and passion put in this movie as I did. The movie has got a lot put in it.
Thanks for your time in reading, commenting, reblogging, and upvoting my post, I appreciate it.
