The long-awaited second trailer for Avengers: Endgame debuted a couple of days ago. You can check it here in the link here. So with considering myself not only a huge fan of the MCU but also of Infinity Wars (probably my favourite Marvel movie of all time so far), I thought I'd give my own personal opinion on this latest additional teaser from the juggernaut studio behind it.

My pet peeve with most trailers nowadays is how much of the movie they give away within their spliced together two-minute montages. We've seen it countless times in the past hence it was really refreshing to see how little information is given away here. Hell, we don't even see Thanos in it! What was pretty cool was the short throwback of clips from previous movies pertaining to some of our superheroes. I guess, placed there as a homage to all those who helped create this vision for us over the years. And also the fact that most of the actors and actresses who play them, will have their respective contract run out so most likely this is the last time you will ever this ensemble on-screen ever again. You better believe many a tear will be shed when this movie gets released.
Another thing to consider are the curveballs Disney hurl at you, to create the ultimate mystery as to what the final version of the film will be like. Remember the trailer for Infinity Wars where Hulk is running through Wakanda along with the rest of his teammates to do battle? Well, we all now know that never actual happened although the trailers are more than happy to have inserted footage that is simply put there to misdirect. Again, strokes of genius by the team who crafted them.
But I'm sure Hulk will make a "proper" appearance this time round, lol. Towards the end of the trailer, they all have these almost "Power Ranger" looking type suits on, which some will either like or not. Captain America, Iron-Man and Thor look to be the main leads again and we get to see a few shots of a war-torn destroyed landscape on another world somewhere. Again, very vague clues but which look like some serious devastation is kicking off. We see Black Widow firing off a few shots in some practice range, which is the only thing I found a little out of place, in a universe where guns are akin to a pee-shooter. Regardless, I'll take it. Same goes for Hawkeye sporting a brand new Mohawk hairdo. Bows and arrow? Really? Lol, maybe I'm getting a bit cynical here. Disney will make it work somehow.
Overall, I'm looking forward to it immensely and to think it's just around the corner now from general release. Hope you hold the same level of enthusiasm for it as I do. It has an unbelievably great history to go by and already has the makings of an all-time classic. Oh, and the bit at the end with Captain Marvel? I'll just pretend like that didn't happen, lol. See you all on the other side of Avengers: Endgame!
